I've stayed at many Hilton's. I was rather disappointed with this one. This Hilton is dated. Though clean, there are repairs/updating needed in the rooms. Rooms are small, no free parking, no vent in bathroom and very small, and heater was hit and miss.
Hilton Hotels are usually better maintained. At this hotel, you are paying for the name instead of the quality. Unusual for a Hilton Hotel.

We stayed over for several days during our honeymoon as we were there to help out as volunteers in the Iditarod.

Check in process was a breeze, with the typically impeccable service provided by the front office desk. However, the lobby and the rooms were tiny, and rather dated. And there seems to be a lack of toiletries provided in the room (which we later learnt, was evident in all the hotels we stayed in.) It was fixed by a phonecall to housekeeping though.

Hotel had some issues locating our luggage when we deposited them with the concierge during our trip up to Alyeska. We got it back eventually though.

Location was exceptional! We were in the middle of everything that was central to our trip. The Fur Rondy activities and the Iditarod Ceremonial Start were practically at our doorstep.

No breakfast despite the price we paid - yet another minus on the "value" rating.

Overall, we were impressed with the staff and service of the Hilton, however, the hotel facade and facilities were in heavy need of a facelift - which is really typical of all the HIlton hotels I've stayed in prior. I would, however, stay there again just for the location itself.

I stayed for 2 nights for a conference. My room was in the Anchorage tower and was beautiful. Nice bed with lots of fluffy pillows and cozy duvet cover. Not your average cheap hotel furniture either.
Staff were so friendly and courteous. Noisy kids staying in a nearby room were promptly quieted by security (within 3 minutes) and a free Starbucks card and apology letter was stuck under my door. My forgotten cell phone charger was found and mailed to me the same day.
I have stayed in Anchorage many, many times and will certainly choose the Anchorage Hilton. You deserve my business!

We decided to take the Hilton’s New Year package this year. Two rooms in the western wing. Had the grandkids with us. Staff did a great job, best location ever for us, downtown, to view the fireworks, also very close to the heart of Anchorage and the central park area where all the festivities took place. No question, just short walk to perhaps 70% of the highest rated quality cuisine restaurants in the city. Hot tub, swimming pool, workout area, were super, grandkids gave this an A plus. Been in the Hilton a thousand times but last time I stayed there was perhaps 58 years ago. We live in midtown.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the complex is maintained today. Rooms were very quiet as well, particularly then, with all the drunks returning at three in the morning. The four majors in downtown are the Hilton, Cook, Sheraton and Marriott. The Hilton is by far the shortest walk to most of the stuff to see and do in downtown. Sheraton and Marriott are the furthest. Sheraton is a nice hotel too, except for the last year now they have had major labor problems with pickets everywhere. Three times in recent years we have did the Hotel Captain Cook for our winter getaway. Haven’t stayed in the Marriott, but our kids like it. Cook is probably the largest complex of them all, excellent hotel, but their swimming pool isn’t very good for the little ones, and it is too far a walk to the center of activities if it is cold out.

Even though I am still unhappy with Hilton for doing away with the name of its predecessor, the famous “Anchorage Westward”, after they promised to keep the name, we had such and good time and they treated us so well, they will be our hotel of choice next year.

We stayed for 10 days at the Hilton Anchorage. The staff were warm and accomodating and were very helpful in helping us with our plans on where to go in Anchorage. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a corner room suite on the 9th floor that had a great view. We had breakfast almost every day in the hotel and it was always good. I will definately stay at this hotel again should we return to the Alaska.

We stayed at Hilton Anchorage for one night in July. The staffs are the friendliest we've ever had at any hotel. They are very patient and give us recommendations on restaurants nearby. The room is clean and quite. Get the upper floors if you can because the views are magnificent. The hotel is close to restaurants and shopping.

No free wi-fi, no free breakfast, hardly any channels, and you have to pay for parking. The room was fine, but you can get a better deal elsewhere I'm sure. Also the toilet paper is the cheapo, one-ply, scratchy, airport paper and there's no vent in the bathroom meaning it's all steamy after you shower. There is a gift shop, though, that sells stuff you might have forgotten, which is nice.
