The house was perfectly situated in the town centre, just off one of the roads so it was quiet. It is a lovely, bright and roomy house with three decent sized bedrooms and a big bathroom and free WiFi. The living room was spacious and there was English TV available if you wanted it. There was a little courtyard as well with a BBQ which was a nice outside area. There is a kitchen with a hob and microwave (plus kettle and coffee machine) but no cooker, but to be honest you don't really need one. There is a boulangerie just round the corner and a pizzeria which does take aways and lots of restaurants in the town. Emilie who managed the property was lovely and could not be more helpful. Sainte Mere Eglise is very nice (it is quite touristy), but is a lovely town for a short break away with everything within walking distance. There is lots of WW2 history there and a beautiful church. There is also a big supermarket, Super U, just outside the town as well.

I had searched the area for a decent hotel, which as any regular visitor to France will know, is not an easy task. Taking the self catering plunge proved a great alternative with this choice, which offered good quality accomodation in a perfect spot.
This is a small village house tucked away on a small side street. Its within a short walk from the laid back centre of St Mere Eglise, with bakers being just a two minute stroll. A little further afield, its ideally situated for Utah beach and the surrounding history.
The interior is tidy and well equipped, with an open plan downstairs and small courtyard to the back. Upstairs are three good sized bedrooms and decent family sized bathroom. It's a relaxing quiet spot that does the job perfectly and at very good value. Have a break from the dowdy and dull hotels and give this one a try, its well worth it.
I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. It is a great location in the centre of Sainte-Mere-Eglise with all the amenities to hand. the accommodation is beautifully present and very comfortable. As a family of 5, 2 adults, 3 teenage children it suited us perfectly. Its in a great location to explore Normandy and all it has to offer.
