We are used to finding terrific dim sum in Phoenix az so we wanted to check out Seattle. We were not disappointed in fact some of the dishes were better prepared.

“Great value for a good dim sum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

The restaurant is very popular for dim sum, however we visited on a Sunday for lunch without reserving and had a reasonable wait of about half an hour. The dining room was tight and the staff surprisingly loud. The dim sum was not outstanding, but definitely good. A pleasant surprise was the bill: 24$ for two people, with a huge pot of tea and a selection of 5 different LARGE shrimp-based dim sum dishes. We'll come back.

“Fantastic Dim Sum!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

Visited here on a busy Sat afternoon. Lots of people waiting for tables. Lady asked would we mind sharing a table and when we said no problem we were seated straight away. No this is not the Ritz Carlton and yes there are bossy ladies pushing carts in a small space but the food is great! Every morsel we got was perfect and I love dim sum and have had it in many places. Jasmine tea was also excellent. 25 dollars for lunch for 2 people.....we were so full we didn't manage dinner that evening! Great food and great value!

“Good dim sum but a bit questionable joint.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

Pros...every dish was great...if you love all types of dumplings. Come hungry leave happy. Teas were great, prices super.
Cons....place is a turn and burn restaurant. I dont get scared off by much but the overall cleanliness would be debatable. If you don't ask a lot of questions about the food...they just toss it on the table. Worked for me but not others in my group.

“Always a delight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

I don't get to the city as much as I would like, but when i do, I try to make room for Dim Sum at Jade Garden. A wait is usually expected on weekends- 20 minutes to an hour depending on the time. If you know for sure that your going and have an exact time for arrival, call ahead and get your name on the list. Dim Sum is delivered via carts moving from table to table. If you are new to this be prepared for the wait staff to try to push plates on you. It can comae at you fast and furiously so don't be afraid to say no a few times and wait for what really looks good to you. It is too easy to stock up from the first cart and be too full when the next cart comes by with a totally new variety of options. The Dim Sum is good, unless you have specific allergies, it's hard to go wrong. They have wonderful sticky rice.
The more people you can drag along, the more fun and variety of food options but also a likely longer wait for a table. I love the place with all its chaos at the busy front door, the din of noise and smells, the rugged very used condition of the restaurant. It all adds up to an authentic Chinese food experience. No it is not shiney clean and in fact is fairly crusty around the edges but in my experience some of the best food anywhere is served in places just like this.
