Description: The Hillyer family is proud to take the helm of Pike Place Chowder, Seattle’s iconic chowder and a global culinary treasure since its founding in 2003. Located in the heart of Seattle’s Pike Place Market, Pike Place Chowder began with a simple vision: to craft the best chowders using fresh, sustainably sourced seafood and vibrant, farm-to-table ingredients. Many of our fresh produce selections come directly from Pike Place Market, and our rich, creamy chowders feature heavy cream from local dairies in Kent. What started as a cozy 20-seat restaurant quickly grew into a local favorite, with lines of chowder-lovers wrapping around the block. Our flagship restaurant continues to delight visitors with award-winning chowders, seafood rolls, and other fresh favorites. Due to overwhelming popularity, a second location was opened at Pacific Place Center, offering an expanded menu that includes crispy fish n’ chips, golden deep-fried prawns, our famous Chowder Fries, and a daily happy hour!

As a Bostonian, I appreciate a good chowdah! Pike Place Chowder serves some of the best I've found anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. Every time I go to Seattle I stop in to get some of my favorite food. The stand-by chowders are offered everyday along with other choices that vary from day to day. Try the sampler. Then stock up and bring some home with you. It's worth the trip to find it.

We had heard about this place from Tripadvisor. It did not disappoint. Small line, but very worth it. Only problem was finding a seat when it started to drizzle. Perfect soup day. The sampler was excellent as well as the bread bowls. Our favorite was the scallop chowder.

For 7 bucks you can get a small bowl of the best chowder around. That includes a piece of sourdough bread. I usually order the New England but there are others as well. There is a chowder of the day and a tasting menu as well. This place gets busy so be prepared for a long line. Tourists and locals alike can't get enough of this award winning establishment.

This was recommended to us by many people in the market. We were also told there would be a line and there was, but it really seemed to move quickly. Many options of chowder. Our daughter was so overwhelmed she got the sampler and was able to try four of them. I had a Dungeness crab roll and a cup of seafood chowder and it was the best. My only complaint is that they do not serve beer, but for a meal like this, it was worth it. We just went over to Pikes Brewery afterwards and had a beer.
