“Yum!”
Reviewed August 30, 2014

This was a return visit (our first was with the Seattle Bites tour in July 2012). The line was long, even in early afternoon, but we were not disappointed. Since we couldn't decide, my husband and I opted for the sampler, which gives you 4 5-oz cups of any of the chowders, including the specialties. We chose the traditional (you can NEVER go wrong with this one), the seared scallops, the southwestern chicken and corn, and the market (during our visit it was crab, oyster and chorizo). All were wonderful and very flavorful. My husband was partial to the traditional and the market; my faves were the seared scallops and the market. I don't think you can go wrong with any choice, IMHO. I think I'll be shipping some of these wonders home.

“Comfort food”
Reviewed August 28, 2014

My husband and I had chowder for lunch at Pike Place Chowder. We chose the 16 oz. (large portion) of New England Clam Chowder and the Seared Scallop (with dill) Chowder. Both were thick, full of seafood and potatoes and well-seasoned. Each was served with a slice of sourdough. You can also get sandwiches, which looked really good...or a combo. You can choose to sample any of the chowders before ordering. Tap water is free.

This was our first time in Seattle, and we viewed the long line at this place as an indicator of quality and value. We were not disappointed.

“Bet Seafood Chowder ever”
Reviewed August 28, 2014

Great Seafood Bisque. It comes with a slice of sourdough bread for dipping. We ate
at the Pacific Place Center location (600 Pine Street) on our trip, and there wasn't
nearly as long of a wait and we got to sit down without feeling rushed. This
bisque was truly wonderful.
