Actually, I've eaten at their other location in Pacific Mall on Pine St a couple of times (and would again a few days after this visit to the Post Alley location). I'm worried about cholesterol and saturated fats (a heart attack will teach you to worry), so I forego the cream-based chowders for the red Manhattan version. Many places skimp on the clams, but this soup is filled with them and plenty of veggies, too. I was going to get the sourdough bowl, but was advised that it wouldn't fare as well as with a cream based chowder. I settled for a combo with an up-sized 12 oz bowl plus a half Oregon Bay Shrimp Roll, and was thoroughly satisfied.
Where to eat is another problem...the lunchtime crowd lines up to order (took about 10 minutes at around 12:30 pm on a Sunday), and there are very few tables inside, and an equally small number just outside. Our group of 4 ended up going into the market to find an empty table. If we had thought to order everything to go, we could have wandered across the street to the park area overlooking the sound. As a note, the Pine St location has easier seating.
