“Great place owned by great people!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

7/21/12 we had dinner at Perche No. This was our second time and again Lily the owner made us feel like we were part of her family. My husband told her we were going to Italy in Sept. and before we left she came by with the name of a winery that we have to go see. The food is very good and the atmosphere wonderful. The piano playing in the background was a nice touch.

“Great service!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2012

There was only one pasta on chicken so not a recommended place if you don't eat pasta I pork our ham. The chicken pasta was okay. The salad which they offer along is too plain. However thetwo desserts which a tried were pretty good. One was orange pudding which was just perfect and the other was cherry gelato. The cherries however were bad just like some medical syrup. The ambience was good and service is note worthy.

“It's a great location for a nice summer evening and the service can't be beat.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2012

Three solid stars for the food, five + stars for the service.

We came here on a Friday early evening and sat outside on the deck area; it was a rather balmy Seattle day and it was perfect deck weather. We were greeted and seated quickly and efficiently, and everyone in the place (seriously) made sure to say hello as we made our way to an outside table.

Once seated, we perused the good-sized menu, then went to the drink menu, then back to the main menu trying to decide how best to order. We ended up doing a wine flight each, and my friend went with the pork special while I tried the Lasagna alla Bolognese (Classic lasagna, layers of pasta with bechamel and our homemade meat sauce). We split a salad to start, the Spinaci della Casa (Our famous house salad; spinach, pancetta, onion, tomatoes, in balsamic vinegar dressing).

The wine flights arrived in cute little carriers and we enjoyed each one throughout our meals, not a bad grape in the bunch. The spinach salad was nicely dressed but the dressing was just a touch on the bland side - it could have had less oil and more vinegar to my taste but that is a completely subjective thing.

Next up, our entrees! My friend declared the pork special "good!" and I enjoyed the lasagna. The flavors were nicely melded and the ingredients tasted fresh. It had a good amount of sauce - not swimming in it but not dry, either.

During our meal, we not only got to know our terrific servers but the chef/owners as well - as I mentioned previously, the service was absolutely wonderful. Everyone there truly made you feel as though you were coming over for a family meal, it was like being enveloped in a nice big hug.

In talking with one of the owners, we ended up going with two desserts and splitting them both. We tried both the tiramisu and a chocolate lasagna with mascarpone and raspberry sauce. The tiramisu was good (again, in the three-star range) but the chocolate lasagna was other-worldly. The different textures (crisp of the lasagna, creamy of the mascarpone) and flavors (mellow of the mascarpone against the fresh, cheerful bite of freshly-pureed raspberries) really lit a fire under my tastebuds.

It's a great location for a nice summer evening and the service can't be beat.

“Great food & a family welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2012

We came here for a family Father's Day dinner on the recommendation of my son &daughter in law, and we were so glad we did. Food is exceptional (tomato ravioli with portabello mushrooms was superb), wine list is extensive, and atmosphere is fun and friendly. And the owners and wait staff truly treat you like family. You will get a warm welcome at Perche No and a fabulous Italian dinner. Definitely worth visiting.
