We just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at Chelsea Station. After spending 2 nights before at Great Wolf Lodge for our kids, this was a wonderful and relaxing place to end our short family getaway. I wish we could have spent more time at Chelsea station but it was booked completely for a wedding this weekend.

We prefer to stay in B&B's or condos when we travel with our kids as it allows for more space and greater value than your typical hotel, so we were so pleased that we were able to stay here with our kids (11 and 8).

The building itself is beautiful and charming. Very well maintained and beautifully and simply appointed. The rooms are large allowing for our family of 4 to have plenty of room. The kids slept on a pull out in the living room and we had the bedroom.

The location was perfect for us, being right near the Woodland Park Zoo we were able to walk there and not have to worry about parking. Although we never ventured downtown (we spent the day of our check in exploring downtown Seattle) it is a quick drive over the bridge and would have been very easy to get there from Chelsea Station. We fell in love with the Fremont area and the old homes and cool neighborhood eateries. We definitely prefer being just outside of the 'downtown' core and this is a lovely spot to call 'home'.

The breakfasts were good portions and filing and served promptly when ordered. While served a bit on the cold side, they were very good. We prefer B&B's without communal breakfasts so having it delivered to our suite was perfect. The kids were able to stay in their PJ's which was an added bonus.

We especially loved the pantry downstairs where we were able to grab snacks and drinks after a long day of exploring the area. We loved the wine being made available as well. You don't get that at any hotel!

As described on their website, the kitchen area isn't really set up to cook full meals, however there are lots of amenities to make your stay comfortable including an espresso maker, kettle (with hot plate), microwave and mini fridge.

We were even able to enjoy some time in the corner hot tub a few times during our stay which was a nice way to unwind in the afternoon/evening. The Netflix was also great to have to enjoy a movie with the kids.

We had a room on the first floor as we came with kids and I can understand little feet upstairs would probably increase the noise to those below. The inn wasn't busy as we were mid week, so we never saw anyone else except the staff serving breakfast.

Our suite (#1) faced the road and the back deck, so I can see that the room might not offer as much privacy for some people if the inn was busy. There was quite a bit of road noise in the mornings but nothing so much that it woke me up.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Chelsea Station Inn to anyone planning a short or long getaway to the Seattle area.

We don't normally stay at B&Bs because we are not into socializing with the other guests. However, after reading the description of Chelsea Station, we thought we would give it a try. It was wonderful and very private. After making our reservations, we were supplied with a code to get us in the front door and to our room/suite. With plenty of street parking, we parked, entered our code, and walked into our suite.

The suite is relaxing, huge (900 sq ft is bigger than our daughter's house), well appointed, and, most importantly, and obvious source of pride for the owner. The owner supplied a detailed manual on the Inn that gave us the history, highlights and instructions on how to use the amenities. In the morning we were served a wonderful breakfast and then without fanfare, we departed in the manner we arrived. No checkout process, just leave the key in your room and go.

A caveat to the inexperienced, this is an old building that has been remodeled. Because of that there is an old building smell. Not unpleasant, but different, and if you have ever lived in an old house you will know what I mean. If you aren't familiar with that smell, don't be put off by it, recognize it for what it is - maturity.

We had a death in the family and needed to be in Seattle over this past weekend. This being a holiday weekend, and the biggest football game in Seattle history, it was a bit of a stretch finding a place. Then I randomly checked on the link for Chelsea Station. As beautiful as the photos are of the suites, they can't do it justice because you are not able to capture the feel as you walk in. From the warmth of the colors to the beautiful photography on the walls, this place had us the moment we walked in. We had big plans of putting our things down and heading out into the Freemont area for dinner with my Brother-In-Laws and quickly ditched that plan and had them over for take out. Where can you find phenomenal service (Lori and Marina are top notch) paired with extreme comfort, wine tasting and a free and fully loaded snack and drink station? There are no $4 bottles of water here folks. Instead it is beer, cheese, nuts, sparkling juices, ice cream, and many other things I am forgetting to list. In the morning we had tasty espresso from a machine we now have to buy, and then breakfast came walking in. You have choices of small, medium, large, and extra large meals. Unless you plan on not eating for the rest of the day, not many people will need the extra large. We went with the large and it was huge! Not to mention beautiful and some of the best french toast either of us have had. I am not a breakfast person and I loved it so much that we took what I didn't eat home for a snack. This will be a yearly trip for us, and from here on out it will be at least a two night stay. Thank you to Lori and Marina who's warmth and hospitality made this trip even better for us.

I was expectant to find a place matching the pictures, but there are some things that can't be captured by a camera. I love the place, the food, the wine testing and the warmth approach of Lori. Really worth every minute, my teenage daughter didn't want to leave the place!!

I fell in love with the Chelsea Station Inn about 5 minutes after I walked into my suite. Gorgeous! The suite is spacious and beautifully, yet comfortably, decorated. The queen-sized bed in the room was wonderful, as was the pull out bed in the living room. It's private, quiet, and cozy. There's two bathrooms so that if you have guests they don't have to use yours. The hospitality is amazing. The owner even stopped by to welcome me and my friends. Just about everything you need is provided for you, including complimentary drinks such as water, soda, juice, wine, beer, coffee and tea. The breakfast was beautiful and fabulous! I'm definitely coming back again!

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor I was excited about staying at Chelsea Station for 2 nights around the New Year. When my husband and I walked in we couldn't believe how incredibly cozy, comfortable, and inviting the place was. It literally took our breath away. Within minutes we'd decided to stay a 3rd night and even thought about extending our stay to 4 nights! The inn is well run - from the extra blankets in the closet, drinks and snacks just a few steps away, the welcome book that included everything from how to work the TV/DVR to restaurant recommendations, to the placards and notes around the room telling you exactly what you didn't think to ask. It's AMAZING!

Breakfast was delicious and promptly served each morning between 8-9:30 (you get to choose). The innkeepers are friendly and available, but leave you to relax and enjoy your stay.

Each afternoon wine is served in the small kitchen downstairs, but it's left out on the table in case you are out or want a glass later in the evening. We stayed on New Year's Eve and returned to an entire bottle of champagne and a New Year's greeting card.

This is a delightful place to stay and conveniently located (close enough to downtown but in a quieter location). Green Lake is very nearby (about 1/2 mile away) if you're a big runner or walker and want to fit in a nice run around the lake (2.8 mile pathway).

Stay here. You won't regret it! When we return to Seattle, we'll definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: All 4 rooms are about the same size and decor. Staying in room 3 or 4 will be slightly quieter as th...

This was our third stay at Chelsea Station for New Year's eve and the following night. We love this place! The only word for it is elegant. They serve a marvelous breakfast every day and there are lots of snacks and wine in the innkeepers' quarters. They also left a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room! While just across the street from the south entrance to Woodland Park Zoo, it is still quiet and peaceful. The suites are beautifully appointed and they just keep getting better and better. This year we found a new espresso maker in the kitchen, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We always enjoy walking the nearby neighborhoods of Ballard, Fremont, Phinney Ridge and Greenlake. Great location, beautiful suites and excellent food. I want to move in full time.

Room Tip: The rooms are identical and there is not a bad one in the lot. We've stayed in three out of the...
