We had two different baguettes. Both were dripping in grease, the kind that leaves you regretting your lunch choice for the rest of the day. It was an unpleasant experience.

There are few places in Seattle to go for a good sandwich, or sandwiches that are interesting. The Baguette Box, opened by Eric Bahn of Monsoon, serves an interesting array of sandwiches that come on a crisp exterior baguette. On a recent trip, I had the braised pork belly with cilantro, hoisin, and thinly shaved pickled cucumbers. A must-have side are the hand-cut golden truffled fries. The sandwiches at the Baguette Box are amazing!

Been there a bunch and 3 out of 4 times I think it's the best sandwich ever. I don't know what it is about the 4th time I go- either fatty meat product ordered or weird tasting sauce. Just get the truffle fries and everything tastes great.
