“Difficult to find, but worth it”

Delicious Vietnamese food tucked away in Seattle's "little Saigon." Try the green papaya salad. And don't be afraid to ask for recommendations!

“Great bar, tasty food, good for vegans”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

Tamarind Tree is fancy Vietnamese food satisfying to American palates. There are many dishes suitable for vegans although beef, fish, seafood, chicken and pork are on the menu. The bar creates delicious and innovative specialty cocktails. The patio is heated in winter and the overall atmosphere is festive.

“Fresh, delicious and great value”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

We went here with a local foodie and were very impressed. Especially good were the tofu rolls and the green papaya salad. Very fresh and full of interesting flavours. The service was lovely. If you're in Seattle without a car, it's easy enough to get here from downtown - buses run up S Jackson, and you get out at S Jackson and 12th. The restaurant is a bit tucked away, behind a hairdresser and a grocery shop, at the corner of a car park. Don't let that put you off though - inside, it is very nice, and feels like it will be much more expensive than it turns out to be.

“Fantastic Vietnamese Food”

The best Vietnamese food I have eaten at a restaurant. The mango salad was too die for. Attentive staff and pleasant surroundings. Highly recommended

“Vietnamese Food with more options!”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

I've been going to this restaurant for years now and they are pretty consistent with quality. If not for the parking accessibility, I would have gone more often.
