“Wow!”
Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

Very classy little place. Tons of pastries to choose from. Friendly staff with great customer service. The pastries were amazing, and fairly inexpensive. I will make certain that if ever returning to Seattle that I find way back to this place!

“The best chocolate croissant in the world”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

We visited Bakery Nouveau in search for chocolate croissants and found the most delicious flaky croissant ever! Only wish we lived closer, the rest of their bake goods looked fabulous.

“West Seattle Wonder”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

West Seattle is fortunate to have Bakery Nouveau in its midst – a first rate bakery/patisserie, with mouth watering croissants, cakes, quiches, breads and other baked goodies. We were struck by the owner’s display of first place honors and awards in France and in the Seattle area for fine baking, and based on our experience all well deserved.

Luckily staying just a block away, we treated ourselves to the ham and cheese croissants, plain croissants, quiche Lorraine, bread and other baked confections every morning for our stay. We even stocked up on chocolate croissants to take on our early flight from Seattle to Baltimore – infinitely better than airline (or airport) offerings. The twice-baked croissants were wonderful (we put away the calorie meter on this trip). The chocolate croissants had just the right amount of chocolate (unlike some bakeries where the chocolate is sparse) and a great, layered texture.

Since we are early risers, we were able to stop by very early each morning just after they opened (usually around 7AM), and avoided the really long lines that we saw later each morning. The queues were also not present in the evening, and although stock was a bit depleted, there was plenty for us to take home. We found the staff really friendly and happily willing to answer lots of questions.

A wonderful place - West Seattle was never like this in the 70’s!

“Favorite Bakery”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

We love this bakery in West Seattle. I always get the twice-baked croissant, so huge and delicious. Eat half for dessert and save the other half for breakfast. We've tried other items, which are also wonderful, but always go back for the tbc. The display items are a visual delight. Staff are friendly. Ample parking in back.

“Five Star Bakery”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Given the line out the door on Sunday mornings and down the block on special days like Mother's Day you know it is going to be good. If delicious, high-quality pastries and freshly made baguettes are your thing then standing in line is well worth it. A little piece of Paris, with a Seattle twist, right there in West Seattle. The service is friendly enough and while the sandwiches are a little on the pricey side and only very good at best, the pastries are excellent. They also serve coffee and make their own chocolates. Seating is limited so getting food to go might be a better option if it is busy. There is a little park on Alaska Ave; one block north and to the right.
