“Delicious!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

I had wanted to check this place out (or Cafe Besalu) while I lived in Seattle but didnt have a car then, so had to wait til I went back this time.. a quick 15 min drive from downtown Seattle, with tons of street parking in the area (plus many other cute stores in the area).

Ordered a box of: chocolate croisssant, almond croissant, cherry croissant and some plain ones. Some other pastries that I dont remember the name of. All are HEAVENLY. The almond croissant is one of the best I have had - rich, delicious and perfection.

Really love this place - highly suggest venturing out during your visit and at least having coffee & a pastry!!

“Great pastries.”

One of a kind delicious pastries, but not cheap. It's worth a trip there if you haven't gone there yet. I loved their coffee too.

“The best croissants ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2012

Popular place for a quick cup of coffee and a fresh croissant but they also serve sandwiches, pizza by the slice, desserts and chocolate. What could be better?

“Absolutely worth the trek!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

This is one of, if not the best bakery in Seattle. Everything here is just good, from the macaroons, to the pizzas, to the croissants and pastries. In my time going there, I think I've had a grand total of one thing that I didn't like.

As for the "trek", if you are visiting and you are downtown all you need to do is hop on the "C" rapid ride to West Seattle. Get off at The Junction and you are within a block of this place. It takes 20-40 minutes, depending on traffic.

“Not worth the trek”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

We love finding great new bakeries to try, so we were looking forward to trying Bakery Nouveau. Unfortunately, I have to agree with another reviewer that this place is overhyped. There is a long wait and you order at the counter. We tried the almond croissants and they were just okay. I was really hoping to find another great place to add to our Sunday bakery list, but this won't be on it.
