I stayed here with my husband and daughter. We enjoyed it and would stay here again. Many reviews mention that the rooms are small, but we found ours quite spacious - we had one with two double beds and had lots of space for a luggage. The staff were very nice and friendly - we checked in at around 8:30 in the morning and were offered breakfast, even though our booking didn't start until that evening: what a nice touch. We loved the location - we were able to walk to lots of the places we wanted to see, and yet the hotel is in a quiet enough spot that there is very little road noise - our room looked right out over the street and we were able to comfortably leave our windows open all night.

Friendly staff, great value for money in downtown area of Seattle in the summer. Deluxe double room was very roomy and nice and we had a view of the water. Complementary breakfast a plus. Walking distance to many attractions, can take bus or taxi to others.

The location and service were good. The included breakfast was more than expected. However, the room (322) was the smallest hotel room that I've ever stayed in (approx 11 ft by 11 ft) and didn't have enough room for my wife and I to open our luggage. In addition to being very small, there was way to much furniture in the room (bed, two night tables, desk, chest of drawers, and a free standing wardrobe closet) which didn't leave much room to move around.

I can't figure out why this place gets good reviews. Friendly enough staff and the place is clean and in good shape for a "historical hotel". However, the beds were terrible, the "city view" just meant you could see and hear the street outside, which was loud throughout the night.

The staff couldn't have been nicer. Breakfast room is staffed and food quickly refilled as depleted. Room was small but adequate and bed was very comfortable. Construction noise was not loud enough to prevent sleeping. Located at south end of waterfront, convenient to restaurants, aquarium and tour boats.
