stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon before heading to vancouver island. when the staff found out about this, they sent up some chocolate covered strawberries which were absolutely delicious!!
the hotel is "old world" decor style--classy and clean.

It's not a bad hotel, but it's quite old and need a refurbishment. The lobby and bar have and old charm like a 20's film, but room and restaurant should be updated for this hotel level.

This was my first stay at the Arctic Club Doubletree. I was very happy I chose this hotel. Check in was fast and the staff was very friendly. The hotel's lobby was cozy. My room was very well decorated and very clean. I loved the coffee press in the room with the Starbucks coffee. Nice touch! Breakfast was overpriced and embarrassing for what you received. I would not recoommend eating at the hotel, there are many other options very close to the hotel. The bar in the hotel's lobby was closed on Sunday which is very odd. Parking is overpriced. Valet is always such a pain. You do not have the choice to self park for the hotel's lot. The quest rooms were very nice though, so I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Make sure you eat out and not in the hotel.

We stayed here for six nights in mid June 2012. The hotel was extremely comfortable. We had 2 rooms - one for my husband and I (king whirlpool) and one for our 3 kids (2 queens). Both were quite large for big city hotel rooms. Ours was a corner room and delightful with windows on 2 walls and the bathroom with a window also. The bathroom was quite big and luxurious. The room had nice amenities (robe, umbrella, goodies in the bathroom) and you could get the key to the minibar and move the stuff out or around to use it for your own stuff if need be. No charges when you moved stuff out of the minibar. The kids room was smaller but still quite adequate. The lobby was great - really comfortable and we hung out down there to just sit by the fireplace and read our books and relax after our excursions in the city. There are 2 free computers with internet and free printing in the lobby, and also free WiFi in the lobby. My kids asked about free WiFi in the room and the front desk told them to accept the charges, and we would not get billed because I am a Hilton Honors member. That happened just like they said - nothing on my bill. The service at the hotel was top notch - the staff at the desk and concierge and bell hops were always extremely friendly and helpful. We could walk to Pike Place Market easily (15 minutes) and Pioneer Square (5 minutes). Many places to eat and see easily. The bus runs right on 3rd street and there is an area in downtown that is free certain hours of the day! It was very convenient.

The Arctic Club was one of the finest hotels I've stayed in. The rooms were not the largest, most luxurious by modern standards but classy down to the finest detail. The lobby / bar was super cool, something out of a book, an old 1900's classy gentleman's club that served old fashioned drinks. Even the fries we ordered were tossed in truffle oil. The hotel staff was also very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They gave us pointers were to find good Vegan food.

Room Tip: Ordering a drink at the bar is a must.

My wife and I selected the Doubletree as a base for a recent trip to Seattle and were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived and were immediately impressed with the beautiful, dark wood lobby, flickering fireplace and charming bar. We paid a small fee to upgrade and were placed in a bright and cheerful corner room with a view towards the Pioneer District and harbor. The room was large, well appointed and immaculate. The bathroom sparkled, the bed was extremely comfortable and we appreciated the thoughtful provision of a French coffee press for early mornings. The hotel is located 7-8 blocks from Pike's Market but was an easy stroll - the ferry terminal is only 3 blocks away and the Seattle Art Museum a similar distance. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and will stay again on our next trip to the city.

Hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms were nice and cozy. The hotel was an old gentlemans club so the decor represents the look and feel of the early 1900's. The old pictures in the room was a bit much. The hotel sits right in the middle of the tourist attractions. You can get to the Pikes Peak Market or the space needle by walking or a short cab ride. There is a great restaurant called Juno connected to the hotel. The breakfast was terrific.

Downside, there isnt a indoor pool for children. The workout room is too small and there was only two treadmills, and no spa. The business center was very small as well.
