My expectations are rarely exceeded, but when I arrived at the Arctic Club they were. Friends and I arrived by train and the hotel was a short cab ride from the Amtrak station (if the weather were nice we would have walked). As we pulled up to the entrance in our cab we were met by the doorman and a bellman and escorted to the front desk. Check-in was fast and friendly and we each got a Doubletree signature chocolate chip cookie (which I greatly enjoy). Our rooms were amazing! The decor is based on the historic gentleman's club nature of the hotel with countless touches including old photos. Our rooms had every convenience and the furniture was very comfortable. Like all Doubletree Hotels this one had a wonderful bed with many pillows and I had an excellent night's sleep. We had a nightcap in the lobby bar, which has wonderful 1920's decor and an expert and friendly bartender. Unfortunately, we had to check out early to catch our train, so did not try the restaurant which looked inviting. Check-out was very efficient and, again, very friendly. The bellman even showed us the grand third floor function room with elegant decor including a glass ceiling.

I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Seattle! In fact, I have a reservation to return on January 13, and this time will stay long enough to really enjoy the hotel.

Loved the hotel. It is near everything by walking or bus.
The bathtub was great, water got nice and hot (not lukewarm like most hotels) and jets worked perfectly.

I can't stop gushing about this hotel! Not only is the property first rate but the service was excellent as well. The historic Beaux Arts building has been meticulously restored and renovated (think Restoration Hardware all the way). The rooms evoke the era of when travel was exotic and luxurious! The "steamer trunk" dresser and other details are wonderful. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious; the desk has ample workspace and is stocked with the basic office supplies. The manager called the room a few minutes after I had checked in to confirm that everything was to my liking. The only negative is the small, slow elevator (it looks like it is historic) and the charge for wireless access (waived for elite HiltonHonors members). Can't wait to return to Seattle and the Arctic Club!

Thank you for the wonderful feedback regarding your stay with us. We have actually begun waiving the internet charge for ALL HHonors members, no matter which level they may be. If you are indeed an HHonors member, it will be free of charge upon your next visit.

We had a great stay here. We were on a short break from victoria and we have stayed in several hotels in seattle before but this was by far the best. The rooms are all themed as if you were travelling in the 1800s but are a great size. The bar and the Food are excellent and the hotel is close to downtown and a 5 minute walk to pike place we will definatley stay there again
