“Awesome view and service”
Reviewed July 8, 2009

We went up for a weekend vacation and were very happy with both the service and the hotel itself. Great people and, our room at least, had a great view.
Stay here, you'll be glad you did.

We can not say enough about the hotel and their staff. Very professional and helpful. The room was spacious which was a big problem with other hotels our friends stayed at. We had a great view of the city, utilized the market below the hotel and we walked everywhere. Some people complained about the location but we had no trouble getting around with the bus trolley and mostly walking. I booked through Expedia and got an excellent rate. We will return to this hotel!

Great hotel. Location just off city center. Needed transfer van from airport shuttle but only for a few blocks. Found only luxury, comfort and excellent service here.

The Pan Pacific in Seattle is a top notch hotel, staff couldn't have been friendlier and the location has more of a residential feel, than a hotel feel. There is a residential building within the complex, along with a Starbucks and Whole Foods, which was very convenient for grabbing a low cost bite. Fitness center is within the complex, just across the parking lot and VERY nice. Also access to the streetcar is right there and walking distance for the more adventurous, doable. IIf you're looking for tours, "Let's Tour Seattle" is a fantastic one, ask for Charles, he's outstanding and takes you off the beaten path a bit, which was great - also "Savor Seattle" food tour of Pike Place Market, terrific look @ things in the market, nice staff to work with as well. The Pan Pacific is a great choice if you're in Seattle and want to be within walking distance to the tourist stuff, yet away from it a bit.

We stayed at this hotel for four days in April. The rooms are very comfortable and the service is generally quite good. For us, with a small child, it is very nice having a whole foods below the hotel for quick easy meals. The presence of whole foods is probably 80% of why we have stayed there twice. Staying there you must look past a number of annoyances though.
Parking - way too expensive for this part of town $33 a day is simply stupid, there is a way around it if you are willing to move your a car twice a day
Tipping - staff continually has a hand out for you to place $$ in, gets to be a bit much after a while
Amenities - or lack there of...no pool, no exercise room, no hot tub, vending machines, no ice machine
Room - unless you have a suite your seating will consist of one solitary office style chair...and the bed, this can make things difficult if you have four or more of you in the room or if you decide to try to eat in your room
Valet Bar - the in room bar fridge charges electronically so if you take anything out you get charged, also we found that if you tip a bottle over a bit to fit in a baby bottle you will also get charged...they took our charges off after two discussions with employees
Location - four blocks to anything your interested in...this is quite fine if you are used to walking places, but it is certainly not in the middle of things.

Overall, this is a good hotel but you have to be prepared to deal with the annoyances.

Just got back from an Alaska cruise and decided to spend a few days in Seattle. We booked the Pan Pacific and could not have been more pleased. The room had an Asian flair. The bed was so comfy. Had a great lake view. Got invited by management to film festival private party. Hotel has towncar on week days to take you to close destinations. Trolley takes you to lake destinations-bus to wharf. Both are right in front of hotel. Whole foods downstairs covers incidental needs and Starbucks is next door. Also one of best restaurants we ate at is right next door.

Staying at the Pan Pacific was very nice. The staff were friendly and always accommodating. The health club has real equipment, although no free weights. The best thing about the Pan Pacific is the location. You can take the Bus # 194 from SEA Tac to the Convention Station and walk 6 blocks to the hotel. Want quick meals, there is a Whole Foods just steps away for everything, Starbucks and a B of A next door.
