Coffee cake and chicken fried steak...these are "must have" items from the menu. The place is popular - be prepared for a wait...it is worth the wait.

“One of My Favorite Restaurants in Seattle”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

I usually order the cobb salad and a slice of the day's coffee cake. The french toast is also good. A vibrant eatery with interesting art on the walls and good service. My only complaint is that It can get loud during the breakfast and weekend rush, the wall's don't absorb noise well enough.

“Just go get the French toast already”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Friends said the French toast here was amazing. They were right. I don't know how they make it so crispy, yet soft in the middle and not too dark. Go there and have the French toast. Bacon on the side (it's nice and thick, not too greasy.)

Fun place. It gets crowded, busy, and loud. Prepare for a wait most mornings. There are other choices on the menu, of course, but the French toast is the most popular item. There were five in our party and everyone left happy.

“OMG you must eat here”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

My wife and I stopped for late breakfast on a Saturday. I had the chicken fried steak with 2 eggs, hash browns and sour dough toast. Wow! The chicken fried steak was very flavorful. The country gravy had more sausage chunks than any I had enjoyed before. Everything was prepared perfectly too. The orange slice and grapefruit slice was the perfect way to cleanse my tongue afterwards. Yummy. There were so many other wonderful choices on the breakfast menu that it was difficult to pick just one. The country sausage grave was fabulous! The atmosphere was family friendly. This is a gem enjoyed by the locals of the Columbia City neighborhood. Don't miss out. Plan a trip to put you there for breakfast.

Fantastic basil tomato soup and chicken sandwich. Kid-friendly. Good salads. I would recommend it for a local treat!
