I booked this hotel via Priceline and when I found out the location, I was a bit concerned. On Priceline it is listed as a downtown property, but in reality it is located between the baseball and football stadiums. This is very convenient for fans attending games. However, the non-prime location did not matter. The hotel runs regular shuttles between several Seattle locations on a regular basis. We never had a problem being picked up or dropped off. It is a little bit of a hike to downtown Seattle and the areas you pass through are a bit sketchy, especially at night. But we never worried about our safety. The rooms are nice. The staff is polite and helpful. Parking is a bit pricy, We rented a car at the airport, but if I did it over, I'd take public transit to a stop near the hotel and get a taxi (plentiful in Seattle). Rent the car only when taking day trips outside of the city. The hotel restaurant is pricy and nothing to brag about. You can do better elsewhere. The bar seems to be frequented by locals, but I wasn't impressed. Seattle is full of bars and there are better ones to be found with lower drink prices. There are other Silver Cloud properties in Seattle. All seem to be of the same quality. Pick the one that is most convenient for your stay.

Room Tip: For a quieter room, ask for one facing the inner courtyard.

I booked this hotel through priceline, and like other reviewers, wouldn't agree 100% that this is located in the downtown area. But the price was right. We stayed here for one night before our cruise and we were very happy with the room and customer service. Our room was a larger corner room with a living room area, small bar area, and private bedroom area. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our room had views of both stadiums, but thankfully it was not a game night so it was pretty quiet. I could see how this hotel would be very convenient for attending an event at either stadium. The front desk was friendly and we were extremely grateful for the free shuttle service. The first night we used it for a drop off near the waterfront and then the next day for a drop off at Pike Place and we had no problem waiting for a pickup. We also saved quite a bit of money with using their free cruise shuttle service, since our pier was the further of the two, not the walkable one.

Firstly: This hotel is excellent, in my opinion. The staff was friendly, the food at Jimmy's was great although pricey, the room was clean and comfortable.
Pros: Convenience to the CLink and Safeco is outstanding - the gates to Safeco are right across the street! Proximity to tailgating areas for Seahawks games is good. They provide a shuttle service to most attraction areas. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are outstanding - don't forget your suit!
Cons: The pillows are oddly sized, but they work as there are 4 per bed (at least in the double queen room). There's free wi-fi, but it's a little slow. The towels are rather small, but functional. No airport shuttle, so your options are take a cab, a towncar service (explained as "cheaper than a taxi" but it was actually more - $45 versus $40) or the light rail. Please note: If you take the light rail it's cheap and easy, but there's still a long, very long walk from the Stadium LINK station to the hotel. Sleep-wise, the beds are super comfy but the proximity to the railways and port make for some noise late at night.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. I had no troubles sleeping at night, after I used my earplugs to block the train noise. The restaurant's food is delicious, but be ready to pay for it. The area is not conducive to night life, due to the lack of residential areas. OH, and the corned beef hash was OUTSTANDING - make sure you get it with poached eggs!

My family recently stayed at the Silver Cloud Hotel at the Stadium. We got tickets to a Mariner game for our anniversary and thought it would be fun to stay across the street. Beautiful property, pool on the roof overlooking Seattle, beautifully appointed rooms, very spacious, very nice decor, our window looked out over the stadium...WOW. The restaurant on site was fantastic, staff was pleasant and knowledgeable of the area. Beds were very comfortable. Entire property was very clean and well taken care of. Loved, Loved, Loved, staying across the street and not having to fight the traffic after the game. Best way to see the game, definitely gonna do that again.

The hotel is located right across the street from Safeco Field. The rooms were nice and the people at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We also stopped from drinks in the bar before the game and the service was great even considering how crowded it was.

This property has to be the best Seattle has to offer if you are coming for a Mariner's game or a football game at CenturyLink Field. Our room, 442, looked directly out at the stadium entrance, in fact you could see the pitcher's mound and some of the field from our window. We enjoyed watching and listening from our open window to the pre-game excitement building. However, when the window was closed it did a good job of abating most of the street noise.

It scored well in my top 4 requirements of a good place to stay: Clean, check; Quiet, check; Quality bed and linens, check; Good, consistent shower pressure and temperature, check. The rooftop pool was still open on a cool, rainy late September weekend and was heated enough to still be comfortable for a swim. The spa was nice but could have used either hooks or cubby-holes for our towels, etc. to keep them dry from the rain while in use. The views are great from the rooftop, looking out over the sound and up to the waterfront with the Seattle Wheel.

We just had one little incident that was handled promptly. We had left our room shortly after 1 PM and returned at 4 PM to find housekeeping had come and replaced our towels and coffee cups but did not make our bed or provide clean glasses. I called the front desk and they immediately sent up an afternoon housekeeper to finish the room. Within a few minutes, I received a call from the department head wanting the specific details in order to address the issue with the negligent employee. Yes, I shouldn't have had to call to have my bed made, but they handled the incident quickly and professionally, so no points off for that.

We visit Seattle often and will return to this hotel when our main focus is attending sporting events. The $26.84 valet parking is very reasonable, since most lots near the arenas start at $20, and it's so nice to just walk across the street without hasseling with driving and parking. However, if we are looking for a "Seattle Experience", we would probably chose a location closer to downtown. Although the Silver Cloud offers free shuttle service to Pioneer Square and Pike's Place Market, it's pretty far away from the waterfront activities.

Room Tip: If you like the excitement of game day, ask for a room facing Safeco Field. A train does run near th...

The outside of the hotel is not terribly impressive but it is sandwiched between the sports stadiums in Seattle so for a game goer it is perfect. It is very close walking distance to Pioneer Square or the CG Base downtown. They offer valet parking with safe basement parking of your car but it is still pretty expensive for being a hotel guest. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a nice hot tub and pool on the roof of the hotel which overlooks the side of Safeco Field. They have a restaurant in house called Jimmy's On First but they don't offer happy hour on game days and my bowl of oatmeal was $8 for breakfast so I would recommend going to Henry's or Pyramid Alehouse only a block away.

Room Tip: The rooms on the field side of Safeco get a little bit of announcer noise and the rooms in the front...
