The monorail travels between the Westlake centre and the Seattle centre. The ticket price is minimal, but the trip is very short lived so not a huge value for money. The ride gives a good view of parts of Seattle so if you're a tourist in town, make the trip.

While in Seattle, we had to take a ride on the Monorail. One of the two stations was about a few blocks from our hotel (the Maxwell Hotel), so it was a short walk there. This monorail station is also near the Space Needle, some other museums and some tourist shops.

It's fairly inexpensive. If you're military, make sure to ask for the discount.

It's a pretty short ride to the mall, but definitely cuts down on the walk. Plus you have to experience a part of Seattle's history by riding on it.

Only costs $2.50 a person and can cut down on walk time/cab fare from the north to center of downtown.

Only if you have money to waste. It is an expensive and short trip that does not offer anything special. Walking along the path is more enjoyable!

This is a tough call. I'd like to give it a higher score, but it's really only an "average". I enjoyed talking the monorail, but I like odd forms of transportation
I think small kids might like. Kids who've ridden modern roller coasters will not.

I used it to get from downtown to the Chihuly Museum by the Space Needle, and it was the perfect choice.
