We took the ferry to Bremerton and it was one of the most scenic ferry rides we've taken. The ferry going there and back was very clean and comfortable, and the ferry staff members were all friendly and helpful.

Running all over town is exhausting. Be sure to take a break and ride the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Time it right and you get amazing sunset views on your return, but it's an awesome view no matter when you go. If the weather is good, hang out on deck but plenty of indoor space if it's cold/wet. If it's around lunch time, try out SuBI for sushi (note that their hours are crazy short...check out the website) or try for dinner if you're there in the summer.

Its a great way to see more than just the city - just be sure to bring a jacket (even in the summer). Great service and flexible schedule.

The ferry had a few options . We decided to go to bainbidge island. There was a quaint little town you could walk around. The best part was the view of the Seattle skyline upon leaving and returning to the port in Seattle

Took the ferry to Bainbridge Island about 11am. The views from the boat are amazing of both the city and surrounding mountain areas. The boat is very large and there are multiple decks to walk around or sit. The indoor seating areas are heated and very comfortable. Vending machines and other food are available. The ride was very smooth and took approximately 45 minutes. The island did not have much to offer in walking distance. We strolled the main street and then headed straight back to the ferry. Very beautiful scenery both on and off the boat. It's about $8 one-way per person. A great way to get in a boat tour without the associated cost. Very happy with our choice to do this.
