When you are on a road trip it is nice to have a break, be moving towards you destination but able to walk around and enjoy the scenery. fun for kids, great opportunity for photos whether an island view or the Seattle Skyline. A cheap way to ride too! Bring a picnic along and enjoy the break!

So many choices of routes that go to so many places on Puget Sound. You can drive your car on for further exploring, or walk on for locations that have things to do without a car....Bremerton & Winslow on Bainbridge Island. Even if you don't even get off the ferry, it's a great way to get out on the water. Be sure to point your camera towards downtown Seattle for great panoramic shots of the city!

Every summer My husband and I love being walk on passengers on one of the ferries for one of our sunny summer afternoon dates. We like the pretty ferry ride from Seattle to Bremerton and eating lunch at the restaurant (Anthony' I think) on the water in Bremerton and walking through their sculpture garden. We also enjoy the ferry from Lincoln Park area of West Seattle to Vashon, and having a picnic and walking on the beach in Lincoln Park before or afterwards. We haven't yet taken the West Seattle shuttle ferry to downtown Seattle, but we're planning that one for this summer, and then eating lunch at Ivars or one of the other restaurants on the pier and then riding on the big Ferris Wheel or walking through Pike Place Market.

Take a ferry to experience the trip to Bainbridge Island. You can take a walk there and enjoy the sea, specially the skyline of Seattle . . Don't miss it
