Went on this tour of Seattle with several people from work after a meeting. We were recommended by a coworker as being 'a hoot'. That was true. As said, it is on an amphibious craft, that will take you around Seattle by land.. playing a variety of songs.. with a mostly running commentary by your driver and guide. It is a bit corny, but let yourself have fun. It is covered, but open air>> so be prepared to dress a bit warmer than if you were just walking around Seattle.

I would recommend you make the reservations online ahead of time as the seating is reserved by seat, and you may not be able to sit together if the tour is booked heavily. I would also recommend a trip to the restroom before embarking, though at the departure facility near the Space Needle< it is portable potties only.

The best part was when you went out on Lake Union and saw all the water houses and the history around the shore.

Go and have some fun

We did this with a group of friends for a birthday party. Everybody got into the silliness and had a great time. People of all ages can enjoy this attraction, and you get to see different neighborhoods of Seattle as well as a view of the city from Lake Union.

The Duck Ride is a great way to see the city from land and water. If you are a little shy you may want to sit in the rear of the vehicle. Our guide was really funny and good at telling the story of Seattle. The ride in Union Lake was really a nice deviation from normal tours.

We loved the our Tour Guide (can't remember his name, bald and hilarious though). The tour starts in either two different locations so make sure you know which one yours is starting in. It takes you around the city and Union Bay waters which is gorgeous--- you get to see famous places like the Sleepless in Seattle and other movie landmarks. Getting a close up of the floating homes was my favorite part. This tour is great when friends are in town and you want to go do something fun! Lasts 90 minutes.

I took this tour in July, we lucked out and got a warm sunny day for our tour. It is an open air vehicle so having good weather made it that much more enjoyable. This is a great way to see the city, and learn about the city. Our driver was very informative as well as entertaining. I would defiantly recommend this tour to anyone, no matter what age, travelling to Seattle.
