At the recommendation of some friends who had visited Seattle a few months ago, we headed to the Crumpet Shop for breakfast before exploring Pike Place Market. Our friends made a great recommendation! The service at the store was outstanding; every person we spoke with was super-polite and happy to help, with not only the food, but Seattle recommendations, etc. The store is small, but charming; we were there pretty early (in the 7a hour), so we were able to grab a table. Of course, the main attraction is crumpets, and they do not disappoint! We had a crumpet with peanut butter, another with butter and orange marmalade, and a final one with English cheese and tomato. All were completely delicious; the cheese and tomato was our favorite. The coffee was good, too. Highly recommended!

I was here about lunch time, so I went for the smoked salmon crumpet and iced tea. Both were delicious and the tea came with lots of ice and free refills.

We actually detoured back a second day to the market area just to check out The Crumpet Shop - hours are limited. I love that it felt much more local then the rest of the area. The employees were friendly and kept the crowded line moving right along. The crumpets were wonderful. We preferred the jam to the nutella.

We went to the Crumpet Shop based on the reviews here at TA. We were SO happy we did, we absolutely loved it!! We had never had a crumpet before (a cross between a pancake and an English muffin) but we fell in love! I quickly started a search for recipes upon returning home! My husband had the ham, egg and cheese, I had the cream cheese, maple butter and pecan, and we shared a ricotta and raspberry. MMmmmmmm!! Great prices too!

We never had a crumpet before visiting the crumpet shop, and we found them to be amazing! Sit outside and watch the eclectic people of Seattle walk by... it is a great experience and much cheaper than a hotel breakfast!
