We stayed here for the first few days of our honeymoon and it was excellent!! Blayne and Julie were such gracious and friendly hosts, providing us with great breakfasts and good recommendations for ease of travel and local restaurants. The location could not have been better, just a short 10 min. drive to the heart of downtown and right across the street from Greenlake Park. We stayed in the beautiful Parkview Suite with its beautiful furnishings, jacuzzi tub and large shower. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast without hesitation and we hope to be able to return one day!!

This was our first trip to Seattle and did not know what to expect. We had traveled to other parts of the country and had always stayed in Bed and Breakfast because we want to meet the locals and not just be tourists.

The Greenlake Guest House was a treat! Even though we would have liked to stay in one of the larger rooms within the residence, our room was actually very nice and comfortable. The bed was a tad bit soft for our taste but comfortable nontheless. The amenities such as the jacuzzi tub was great as well as the free wireless internet connection. The lake was just a short walk from the home and is a very nice feature that add to the appeal of this property.

The residence was nicely decorated and very well maintained. Both Blayne & Julie McAferty, our hosts, were very welcoming and helpful. They had helped us with finding great places to eat and visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was nice to get to know some history of the property and be able to talk to Blayne about the evolution of the home. We highly recommend Greenlake Guest House for your visit to Seattle. We will certainly return if we find our way back to Seattle in the future.

Tony and Nicole.

The rooms and baths at Greenlake Guest House were spotless and impeccably decorated and accessorized.

Overall, a beautiful renovation with the latest luxury features and conveniences throughout.

Our hosts were friendly, warm and helpful throughout our stay.

The full-course breakfast was lovely and gourmet.

I would highly recommend Greenlake Guest House to my friends, and plan on returning there the next time I visit Seattle!

The Greenlake Guest House is a gem of an establishment!!! My girlfriend booked it for us for two nights during a vacation to Seattle and we both loved it. The owners were fantastic and super friendly and the breakfasts were the absolute best we've ever had at a bed and breakfast. It is a quick bus ride to downtown Seattle and the lake is absolutely beautiful and there's this nice, cheap vietnamese restaurant around the corner plus good mexican food and chowder!

Recommended!

My husband and I had the pleasure to stay at the Greenlake Guesthouse in Seattle, and we highly recommend it to other travelers!

First, we loved the location. During previous visits to Seattle, we have stayed downtown as well as in other areas of the city. We loved staying in Greenlake because the Guesthouse is in a convenient location... making it pedestrian friendly like downtown but without the parking hassles and costs. We were able to park right next to the Guesthouse even when we came back to the Inn late at night. There are quite a few restaurants to choose from in the area and, of course, the Guesthouse is right across the street from a park that is always bustling with activity.

Second, the accomodations were wonderful. We have stayed in B&Bs that were stuffy and formal, but this is not the case at the Greenlake Guesthouse. The house itself is charming and cozy, and the atmosphere is casual and friendly. A spotless room, heated tiles in the bathroom, a mini-fridge stocked with beverages, and homemade cookies upon our arrival were little touches that made a big difference.

Third, the owners were engaging. It is easy to tell that Blayne and Julie truly enjoy running the Guesthouse. They seem genuinely interested in getting to know their guests, as well as sharing information about the city they love. They were very accomodating, even making my husband a sack breakfast since he had to leave very early for a meeting.

We highly recommend the Greenlake Guesthouse and hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

My husband and I have just spent 4 nights staying at Greenlake Guest House. We booked it after reading the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, and can confirm that it lived up to our expectations - even exceeded them.

We stayed in the Parkview Suite, which had a lovely view of Greenlake. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was a lovely jacuzzi bath. Julie and Blayne were superb hosts and were always available and willing to give advice and guidance. It was the little touches that made our stay so special - free soft drinks in a fridge at all times; free wireless internet access, and homemade cookies available in the lounge.

The 'gourmet' home cooked breakfast lived up to its name - fresh fruit each morning, and then a cooked 'special' such as 'apple cranberry puff pancakes' or 'mexicali eggs'.

The journey into town took about 20 minutes - at different times we tried the bus, took a cab, and drove ourselves in - neither journey caused us any hassle, and it was lovely to get out of town and be able to walk around the park either in the evening, or before breakfast. There were plenty of eating/drinking places within a couple of blocks of the guesthouse.

We would strongly recommend the guesthouse to anyone visiting the area, whether for business or pleasure - we travel a great deal with work, and believe that this guesthouse made for a much more enjoyable stay than staying in the anonymous downtown hotels.

Although my wife & I only stayed one night (we wanted to stay 2 more) we can report an excellent stop-over. We seek clean, comfortable and friendly and Blayne, Julie & not forgetting Emma certainally exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was outstanding.
Moreover the lake provides a great exercise route and there are good bars & steak house 5 mins walk away....we can definitely recommend for all home loving visitors.....sleep was not an issue, we drifted away.
