Very nice B & B. Great location across the street from Greenlake.. Breakfasts were fantastic. The innkeepers did lots of nice little things for guests that made it really special. Lots of things to do in the area, especially in Summer.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms face Greenlake Drive so you get a little traffic noise with the windows open, but...

Because of a late booking, we had the room with the fewest 'extras' (e.g., no whirlpool). Regardless, it was an amazing stay (3 nights). Attention to detail was maintained in everything from the DVD movie selections to breakfast preparation. Great setting and neighborhood too. If you're heading to the Seattle area, you'd have better odds of winning the Power Ball than finding a B&B nicer place than this one.

Decorated beautifully and true to period. Rooms are smaller, but nicely appointed with whirlpool tub, Toto toilets with soft close lids, lavender body spray, ear plugs (we didn't come close to needing, but nice to have them available), room treats, gift basket with local goods, antiques, and comfy linens. Daily wine hour is nice although we missed it both days. Snacks, brownies, tea, coffee, bottled water, hot chocolate always available and plenty of common area. Julie has good advise on where to go for dinner, sight seeing, etc., and provided personal maps. At first I was a bit concerned when she said she and her husband would be out that evening and her teenage son would be around, but her son was mature, friendly and interested in learning about us and what we hoped to do in Seattle. He also made a very good recommendation to see the Ballard lock & dam and fish ladder. Breakfast was delicious. We've stayed at a lot of B&Bs, and this is one of my favorite.

The Greenlake Guest house is a great place to stay. It is clean, comfortable, and just the right amount of elegant. My wife and I had a great time on our honeymoon here. Julie and Blayne were very helpful to us when it came to the local area. They knew lots of fun places to eat, go, and spend time. It's a very welcoming space. From a complimentary wine hour to an always available Keurig coffee brewer or an amazing DVD collection with a guest refrigerator, the Greenlake Guest house is an awesome, comfortable, pleasant, and romantic place to stay. The park right outside the house is so fun to walk around. And you're always within walking distance of a great restaurant or dessert location.

Room Tip: Parkview room has a beautiful view of Green Lake.

We stayed three nights last week, and highly recommend the Greenlake Guest House to others.

Each year, we stay a various B&Bs including others in Seattle, and we rate this one among the very best.

The gracious owners, Julie and Blayn, restored their 1920s home back to its former glory.

Fine meals for breakfast included fruit courses followed by an egg-based courses. Their Dutch baby baked dish was superb.

Snacks, coffee and soft drinks are available all-day. Wines and beers are offered in the late afternoons.

Adjacent to scenic Green Lake park, this B&B is only a few blocks from interesting coffee shops, restaurants, and a convenient bus line to downtown.

We appreciated the owners' friendly hospitality, and followed Julie's kind suggestion that we see the Chilhuly glass-art exhibit downtown - a great experience.

This is truly an excellent Inn--not only because of its physical beauty and aesthetics, but also because of the people who run it. Blaine, Julie, son Andrew, and beagle Emma infuse the house with welcome and easy going comfort. You feel immediately comfortable upon arrival. Breakfasts are fantastic but you have the choice to have all of what is offered, some of it, or even alternatives to the menu of the day if you wish. The lake across the street is a great perk. I put on my running shoes at once and did the 2.9 miles. Great neighborhood--try Duke's down the street for great fish and what I have been told is a Seattle tradition. Wine in the afternoon chatting with Julie and other guests was lovely and the rooms are stunning as well as comfortable. I did not want to leave. After three days it began to feel like home. You will not be disappointed here.

Room Tip: We stayed in both the Park View and Ballard--from large to small they are lovely. True, the rooms b...

We recently spent 3 days in Seattle and spent 2 nights in the Greenlake room at the Greenlake Guest House. We enjoyed our stay there very much and relied on the advice of our hosts - guest hosts Gary and Liz in this case - to help us make the most of our time.

Based on the reviews we had read prior to booking here, we knew we would be staying somewhere lovely - we were not disappointed at all. And in addition, there's a running tradition of a casual get-together in the nook to sample local wine with fellow guests. That was a really thoughtful touch, and made us keen to visit a local winery.

The food was really good, people great, and all in a quiet residential location across from a beautiful park.
