“A great place in a great location”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

We were very pleased with our stay. The house is right across the street from the Green Lake park which has an excellent walking path. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. I will definitely stay here on my next trip.

Room Tip: All guest rooms are on the second floor and are all about the same.

spent three nights in early June. The place is excellent in every way. Julie and Blayne were wonderful hosts. Greenlake park is an excellent place for an after dinner stroll or an early morning jog. We stayed in the Greenlake room which was well equipped and comfortable. There was a little traffic noise but it was not a problem. Breakfast was first class. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This is a lovely, Green Lake guest house (like new but with character features) -- guest rooms are spotless and well-appointed. The common area is welcoming -- cozy fireplace seating in living room and dining area with a view of the lake. Julie's hospitality is second to none.....sincere and knowledgeable.....and the breakfast was incredible; healthy and creative (you won't need to eat for the rest of the day)!

No reason to look elsewhere -- you won't be disappointed!

Greenlake Guest House sets the standard for bed and breakfasts everywhere. It's located across the street from Seattle's Green Lake Park, convenient to every part of the city. We ran or walked the three miles around the lake every day we were in town. The rooms in the house--the comfortable living room and dining room, furnished with Mission-style furniture, as well as the bedrooms--are comfortable, incredibly clean, and inviting. There's nothing fussy or frilly about Greenlake Guest House. The linens, chairs, and other furnishings are well-chosen, and every space is inviting. Our bed could not have been more comfortable, and the bathroom was stocked with high-end soaps, toiletries, bath salts, etc., as well as phenomenal soft and large bathrobes. And breakfast--wow! We've already gone online to track down that oatmeal. The choices for breakfast are abundant, and all of it is fresh, inventive, and responsive to the dietary needs of guests. Julie and Blayne are amazing hosts, always welcoming but never intrusive. We can't wait to get back to Seattle, and returning to Greenlake Guest House is a big reason why.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Parkview Room. It's the largest of the rooms, with a whirlpool tub, large show...

OK, I have to go back again just to have the time to enjoy all the amenities Julie had there for us! Just too many and not enough time. It was a very, very nice place and stay. The food was most excellent. As were the service and people. Liz and Gary happened to be inn-sitting when I was there and they couldn't have been more lovely. Truly.

Room Tip: I originally had wanted the Green Lake Room. Unfortunately, someone beat me to it so I had the Ball...

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Greenlake Guest House. The owners are the consummate innkeepers providing outstanding service at every turn. Located across the street from a beautiful walking lake and within walking distance of several fine restaurants and pubs, it is in a convenient location for accessing downtown Seattle.

Green Lake Guest House represents everything that a superior B&B should be : welcoming, cozy, spotless and relaxing with good breakfasts. Julie is a lovely person who is very happy to help in any she can. The Green Lake location is a huge plus and we took full advantage of it, with several walks/runs daily. All the little touches are there : cold bottled water & soda, homemade cookies, glass of wine from 5-6 on weekdays. Honestly, there is not a thing I would change. It was a delightful stay.
