Next time I can try the dessert. The potato is better than salad.

“very accommodating”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2014

We were 9 people and the waiter was very accommodating and the service was comfortably attentive.
The food never disappoints but beware of gigantic portions. I recommend sharing appetizers and even main courses.
The oysters were fresh and deliciious. My mother really enjoyed
The half dungeness crab appetizer with a very nice sauce . The grilled octopus, though recommended by the waiter was a little heavy . One couldn't taste the octopus at all.
kebabs are always tasty .
Be forewarn that the slow roasted lamb is a copious heap of meat. Very tender and delicious. The seafood extravaganza was literally an extravaganza. Enough for two. Greek spaghetti , yams, brussel sprouts were also very good sides
Coconut cream pie rounded off the meal. never disappointing.

“Ate here based on a recommendation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

I wasn't sure what to expect when arriving a Lola, I only chose the restaurant based on a recommendation and its close proximity to our hotel. The greek food was great from the hummus and pita to the lamb kebabs. My husband loved the mini donuts.

“An Outstanding Breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

We stayed in the adjoining hotel and enjoyed two breakfasts at Lola. Both visits were great experiences.

Friendly, attentive staff. Incredible maple pork sausages. Beautiful baked goods. Fresh squeezed juice. Jam preserves that were over the top special. Big portions. Good value for dollar. A very nice open airy space.

If I have a gripe, and I know this won't be shared by many, they serve Starbucks Coffee. I'm well aware that Starbucks is the hometown hero. However, a place like this, taking care to serve a better product then most, might consider a local small roaster, with beans roasted within 48 hours, rather then the over roasted crap being turned out by Starbucks now that they are as big as they are.

Anyway, just a great place for breakfast. Perhaps next time we can try a dinner as well.

“Not bad but overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2014

My friends and I went there after reading all wonderful reviews here. Well, it was a little bit disappointing.

I had slow cooked lamb and it was ok. Plate was quite big, but I would say it had lack of flavor. It definitely wasn't best lamb I've had. It was pricy too, something around $30.

It came without any sides, so I ordered pita with garlic spread. It was a tiny cup with the spread and one pita already sliced into rectangles. It wasn't bad, just not big enough to understand if it's good or not.

We also had a bottle of Greek wine. It was quite good for my taste.

I have to say, that service was really good, even it was very busy evening.

As a conclusion, it's an overpriced place with OK food and great service.
