“Funky & quality!”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

Best breakfast in town, remarkably with gravlax on the menu, and you can't miss the unique & clever 'smahed potatoes'. Also terrific for drinks and/or their Happy Hour. Stylish decor and good service too.

“Greek and yummy”
Reviewed February 8, 2014 via mobile

Having grown up in an area of significant Greek density, I was pleasantly surprised to find the cuisine here was on that path. Started with the dolmades which were very good.

I learned about a new varietal. I always want to try something new and the waitress suggested a Greek wine blend of Syrah and kotsifali and it was fantastic. Great nose and full bodied. Yum!!

Dinner was the mushroom braised lamb shank. A large portion which I couldn't finish. The meat was succulent and falling off the bone.

The money was the warm goat cheese turnovers. Exquisite. I mean really. Just an undercurrent of citrus and honey. I would go back just for a big plate of these. Gotta get the recipe

“Excellent Eggs Benedict”
Reviewed February 4, 2014 via mobile

Just had Eggs Benedict at Lola. Very good/excellent. Poached eggs were perfect. Lots of ham. Sauce was delicious. Served with a large portion of potatoes. With coffee and sales tax my bill was $21.14.

“Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

And what Lola did get was our money. I'm going to cut them some slack because I cannot believe that one of the highest rated restaurants in Seattle failed to live up to its hype, but it was noisy, extremely crowded, and with the Seattle Seahawks having just won the NFC championship, more like a fast paced deli trying their utmost to satisfy everyone amid the distractions. The spreads served with the pita slices were great, as were the cocktails and wine, however the main course (lamb) was ruined by being way overcooked. The manager removed that part of the charge from our bill, but when a dinner has been effectively ruined overall, I believe the compensation offered should have been greater. The staff was very professional. I would return because I believe this visit was an aberration.
