“Great Atmosphere”

Went there for New Years Eve 2012. Had a reservation at 10:30 pm but arrived early. We were seated immediately by the hostess. Our server took the time to explain the specials and answered our questions fully. The food was spectacular. We ordered the blackened cod, best we ever tasted! Also had a dessert that came with mascarpone. Delicious! Dinner and drinks for two plus dessert and the bill came to around $100. Well worth it!!

“Good food, good atmosphere”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

We had two great meals here last month while vacationing in Seattle. We came here for dinner, liked it so much that we returned for breakfast the next day. We also tried Etta's for dinner one night, which I believe is under the same ownership (also very good). We loved the Fava skordalia, kind of like a hummus spread. They told us the ingredients and we've been trying to reproduce it at home (we think we have it down...) and their homemade pita bread is just delicious. We stocked up on some from their bakery to take home with us. For dinner, I had a salmon kebab and my husband had some kind of tagine, I don't remember which one. Loved everything. Good service and atmosphere, too. Our breakfast the next morning was just as impressive. Love the smashed potatoes. We didn't try any of the sweets in the bakery, but I bet they were really good, too.

“Best Breakfast!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

If you want a gourmet breakfast experience go to Lola's! I had an amazing roasted broccoli omelet which came with the best garlic potatoes. We also had a supper at Lola's and the lamb shank is absolutely perfect.

“Donuts and squid. ”
Reviewed January 7, 2013 via mobile

Went with local friends and as foodies we all enjoyed the meal. Wine list was eclectic and primarily european. Lamb and squid both good. The 6 dish mezze with pitta was perfect and the blackened arctic cod was sweet and juicy. Atmosphere and service all good. We were unlucky enough to get a new chef who overspiced the squid. On feeding it back to our hostess it was removed from the bill ( without asking ). And the donuts to share at the end were light and warm with a pear topping.

“Lola Bar review - not of the restaurant”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

After hitting several other Tom Douglas establishments, we stopped in here for a drink on the way back to our hotel. All I can say is DO NOT order the Northwest Toddy! It was the worst tasting drink I have ever had and for those of you who have ever had TheraFlu, this makes Theraflu taste good! $28 for 2 drinks with tip was a little pricey. I'm sure the food in the restaurant is good and look forward to eating here someday but will stay out of the bar and away from their "specialty" drinks. The bartender seemed to ignore us for awhile before taking our order and maybe he was trying to tell us something....
