“Unforgettable views, huge portions”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

A friend drove us to Alki Beach, across the bay from Seattle, and we had dinner at Salty's. There is a complimentary valet parking at the restaurant, a big bonus, as parking is limited on the Beach.
The place is huge and also has a substantial terrace for the outdoor seating. The views, both from the windows, and especially from the terrace are unforgettable. Seattle skyline, the boats, the ferries on Puget Sound, and even an occasional seal making an appearance. The prices are high but the portions are very generous, one portion is really easily enough for two people. The food is very fresh and tasty but this is not a true gourmet cooking, and the wine list is also mediocre. The service is friendly but relaxed, but it's almost to be expected when visiting the Pacific Northwest.
All in all, a casual place with good food, but the views and the fresh ocean breeze make it special.

“Great food & great view”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

While visiting Seattle friends took me to dinner & I was very impressed. The service was excellent. We had a reservation for 6:00 PM & I would recommend having one as it does get busy. The menu had many choices to select from. Seafood is their speciality. Prices seemed fair. We were seated by a window & the view across the bay of Seattle caused us to continue to admire it as we visited & dined. It was a bit hard to find but the Garmin GPS proved worth while. I would recommend the Bourbon flavored grilled king salmon. You will be impressed with the amazing service. The outside patio seating looked very nice but it was cool & we chose to be seated inside.

“Delicious brunch with awesome view”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

We're lucky that we got a table by the window facing the fantastic view of Seattle. We enjoy the view a lot even though it was a rainy day. Great varieties of food with good quality. Service is good as well even though the restaurant is packed the whole time we were there. Definitely need to make reservation ahead of time though. We had to wait in line for Snow Crab and Dungeness Crab, but the line moved fairly quickly and the staff keeps refilling the food making sure we don't leave empty handed. Remember to save room for dessert! Very nice experience.

“Wonderfully expensive”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

We went here because the guy at the rental car counter recommended it. Little hard for us to find but well worth it. Had the halibut oscar because the waitress recommended it and it was delicious. The clam chowder with crab was also really good. We had an amazing view of Seattle from our table. We could would go back.

“Fantastic brunch”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

We were lucky enough to be taken here for Sunday brunch whilst visiting family in Seattle.
Fantastic food, so much to choose from and all nicely cooked and presented, we really were spoilt for choice.
Lovely views across the bay to Seattle .
A must do if in the area, but do book as it's very busy.
