I've found this restaurant to have reliably good Japanese food and have visited it several times over the years when I'm in Seattle. My most recent visit, in early October 2012, didn't disappoint. The service was a little slow, and they might have been short staffed. However, the servers were very apologetic and friendly. We weren't in a hurry in any case. Tempura Udon was superb, and the mixed seafood stir fry was quite good. The salmon nigiri sushi was melt in your mouth excellent, as was a tuna roll we had.
It's located just steps, uphill, from Pike Place. Visitors to Seattle may not be aware of a great tradition: 1/2 price sushi happy hour. Take advantage of it!
