Description: Attenzione: The Pink Door will be closed Jan. through March 2017 for remodeling! Our beloved establishment will be in winter hibernation as we make some exciting changes, but rest assured the deep, lovely wrinkles will still be there. Aside from a much-deserved kitchen overhaul, the stage will be relocated, and we’ll offer a magical new seating area with a view of the water and sky. You can look forward to the same delicious seasonal food, same eclectic entertainment, and the same caring, lovely staff waiting to serve you! Follow our construction progress on Instagram. We are teaming with Seattle-based Metis Construction, an independent community of craftspeople proudly running a worker-owned company; we’re thrilled to have its artisan touch. See you in Spring!

This is such a great restaurant. The outdoor patio has great views across Elliott Bay. The interior design is very very strange ! Very eclectic, but amazingly interesting. As are all of the waiting staff, very interesting individuals !! The food was great, and not over priced.

The Pink Door was your average Italian restaurant. The food was OK, but we chose the restaurant based on other Trip Advisor reviews and by looking at the Pink Door website and were a bit disappointed. We were expecting the restaurant to be on the quirky side, and to watch some kind of show as there is entertainment every evening. The evening we were there, there was supposed to be jazz music beginning at 8:00. We never heard it. The restaurant itself is on the second floor of a building in Pike Place Market. It was on several levels, but looked like any other restaurant.
There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating overlooks the waterfront and had a very nice view.
We had a reservation and were seated right away. The food was hit or miss.
The cheese board appetizer was lovely with a variety of cheeses and a large sheet of cracked bread. The bruchetta was a disappointment. It was just crostini with a slice if tomato and had no taste.
The caesar salad was excellent. The lasagna wasn't memorable.
The restaurant does have an extensive wine list and a full bar. The service was good without being overbearing.

Went to the Pink Door based on a family recommendations. Overall our experience was excellent. By 'all the bases' I am including:

Staff - ALL the staff in our vicinity contributed to our service. E.g. - We needed reading glasses and a flashlight to look over the menu. A variety of glasses were brought by one waiter and two different staff provided lights and a magnifier.

Ambiance - We were fortunate to sit outside an enjoy the beautiful evening view of the bay. The inside looked to have some great tables as well.

Wine - an extensive list with a particularly good selection of Italian wines IMHO. Pricing was reasonable with a brought range to suit your budget. No heaters I could see so be wary of the temperature.

Food - it's all about the meal ultimately. Started with the cheese tray. Very enjoyable and equally viable after dinner. I had the ribs which were very, very tender. A bit greasy so they make for a heavy meal. The seasoning was unique and enjoyable. My wife tried what I would describe as a fish stew / bouillabaisse and was very pleased.

So our experience was really good all around and a very enjoyable relaxed meal..

TIP 1 - the entry is a bit hard to find if you're not expecting it. It's down what you will think is a back alley.

TIP 2 - If you arrive early, try a wine tasting across the alley. They have several flights of wine that are fun to sample.

My husband and I went to the Punk Door to celebrate my birthday. This restaurant offered a unique dining experience. The aerialist performance was short, but entertaining. The food was average. I ordered linguine with marinara sauce, but when it arrived there were two meatballs on top. As a vegetarian, I had to send it back. Within moments, the server brought back a new plate. Although my husband notified the restaurant in advance that we were there to celebrate a birthday, the restaurant staff did not sing happy birthday, or offer a free dessert like many restaurants do when you are there to celebrate a special occasion. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service was good.
