We stopped in Mamma M's because we were staying up the hill in a B&B, and were too tired to drive. A short walk down the hill brought us here, and it looked like a hip, trendy place with interesting sculpture in the outside dining area, and a sort of fusion of chrome and crystal inside. We like Italian, so we thought we'd give it a shot. We ordered salads to begin, and they were fine. We had a lot of flies buzzing around, and it was distracting trying to protect the food from attack. We both ordered pizzas- margherita for him, and an artichoke laden one for me. Mine had a lot more going on, and was worth the price, but his seemed more like a standard cheese pizza you'd buy for the kids. (we've had margherita pizza elsewhere and been blown away by the subtle taste interplay) Somehow our waitress sort of disappeared after delivery of our food (this was a Wed night) and we waited a long time for drinks and our bill. ( I always end up wondering if we're being punished for not ordering alcohol!) Considering how slow it was that night, one would hope they could have been a little more on the ball. I would not return there mainly because of the flies, but also because you can do better.
