Upon walking to the Pioneer Square area my boyfriend and I saw a group standing outside a sign that said underground tours, but it was the wrong one. So definitely head to the corner of Cherry and 1st. You'll see a corner coffee shop and then toward uphill you'll see a black sign with stairs leading down. Walk down the stairs and there is a man behind the desk able to sell or release your tickets to you (we bought ours off Groupon - but all prices seem to be the same). We arrived early, so enjoyed a nice treat and coffee/tea break on the corner and waited for our time slot.

Dave, our tour guide, started promptly and was very informative, well-spoken and witty guide. He was able to sprinkle in a few 'dad-jokes' which made the tour fun for everyone. He was available for questions throughout the tour and later explained how the group he works with intentionally made these tours with a max of 25 guests - not too crowded, more intimate and really designed with the visitors in mind.

In just one short hour you learn a lot. I definitely gained more insight into how this city came to be.

I really appreciated that he offered to take on any questions or requests for recommendations afterward - like having a friend in the city - truly a nice touch.

Love the tour led by Mike: he kept it entertaining and continuously engaged our kids (10 and 12) and all adults too. Perfect length of a tour for a family: long enough that you learn fascinating facts about forming of Seattle, but short enough to keep everyone engaged and not overly tired. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.

It was a nice experience but it’s not really an underground tour. You only go underground for less than two blocks. There’s nothing exciting to see except for two pictures. I think they need to do a lot more work on improving the attractions they offer before charging $22 or $20 a person. Wasn’t the highlight of my Seattle trip. But our tour guide was nice!

Interesting history of Seattle..it's beginnings, the gold rush, the brothels, the settlement and building & rebuilding of the city. Tours during the morning and early afternoons are factual, funny, and "tame". Later in the day, they tend to be more "salty" and adult humerous with the many stories and tales of early day Seattle. A very time regardless.
