Driving up to the Edgewater Hotel the rustic decor and outdoor fireplace were very inviting.
The lobby also featured an eclectic mix of
vintage and rustic lodge decor. I found it to be charming and relaxing.
The Six Seven Restaurant is located just inside the Edgewater Hotel with one side having extensive windows and views of the water. It also featured antlers, "trees", gorgeous chandeliers, many fireplaces....and again an AMAZING VIEW!!!! (Our entire party agreed that the view was the best part.)
Food was good but not great. We enjoyed the Skagit Valley Chicken, Cedar Planked Salmon, and Filet Mignon but nothing about these entrees was notable enough to ensure our return. We always look forward to dessert and while the Cheesecake and Panna Cotta flavors were good the cheesecake was too dense and the Panna Cotta too soft. Both need a little work.
I would recommend you go to the Edgewater to have a cocktail or other beverage and sit back in a comfy chair by the windows in the lobby or lounge and take a moment to relax, enjoy the view and plan where else you would like to have dinner.
