Joined a couple of old friends for dinner and since they picked me up at the Convention Center, the valet parking was convenient. Having reserved we were quickly escorted to our booth on the Mezzanine level, which gave a great view of the kitchen which is open, the tables on the main floor, and some of the lively bar scene. The wine list is extensive, with most of the wine world well represented. In keeping with the Argentinian theme we chose a Malbec/Tannat blend from Salta, which was dark, rich, with spice, and dark fruit and berry favors. It was a 2006, and I had them decant it since the first taste suggests need to open it up, and they happily decanted it. We shared a Ceasar salad prepared at the table and it was authentic and delicious, with the raw egg and anchovies. Very festive, and the staff kept up a nice friendly banter. Then we decided on Chateaubrion, divided three ways at the table, with appropriate ceremony. All agreed that this was one of the best hunks of beef we had we ever had the good fortune to consume. All manner of fine desert was offered, but all trying to regain our youthful figures, we opted for Port, and they have a super LBV (late bottled vintage). Service staff were efficient, professional, friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The valet had the car at the curb instantly, and we all got home and had sweet dreams of the Argentinian Pampas and slept well.
