The meal we had here was good. To be honest I had set my expectations lower considering it appeared to be more of a tourist restaurant. The server was very knowledgable about the wine and the food and was just the right level of friendly. Definitely try the crab cakes...best I've ever had! I liked that they had mainly local wines on the menu!

I'm a little conflicted about Chandler's... On one hand I can't say enough about the service. It was one of the best i have ever seen. Brian G was awesome, the view and relaxing atmosphere is second to none. Well... Maybe if you were eating in the French Alps. The price is what gets me, $30 for a small piece of cod and some edamame and corn is a bit much. And $80 for a dungenese crab? It was very good... But you are paying for the location. That aside I will say this, next time we are in Seattle we will be making a stop here.

We went here with some guests from Europe and were lucky enough to catch one of the sunny evenings in May, so we could sit outside and enjoy the view of Lake Washington. The chowder was extremely well done and the main dishes were also very good. Cracking the crabs' shell is always a challenge but worth it.
The waiter seemed to have to deal with too many tables at the same time and was a bit on the short time, maybe they were expecting less business. However he was very knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. All in all one of the best places in Seattle if you want to eat a whole crab.

Had a wonderful time at the bar last night for their happy hour. Great service from Matt the bartender. Enjoyed a dozen fresh oysters on the Hal shell. One of the best happy hour values in Seattle.

The most positive first: the dining room in a glass atrium that looks onto Union Lake. The rest: strictly average, but served with pretensions of culinary artistry, with prices to match.
The good: clam chowder, the calamari, the salad with heirloom tomatoes. The so-so: halibut, fresh, but bland preparation, with bland beurre blanc sauce, of which there were merely traces of on the plate, to the point where we thought that they forgot to put any on. We had to ask the waiter for more. Pricey, considering the quality. Outrageously pricey wine list, and the wine expert spouted a lot of "wine babble" that sounded impressive.
Overall, disappointing.
