“At the TOP of their game”
Reviewed October 17, 2011

From the bread and butter on the table through the family recipe starter soup, the classic German dishes [with some slight flairs] and the outstanding atmosphere, this restaurant is a can't miss experience.

“Great local place”
Reviewed July 29, 2011

This restaurant was within walking distance of our rental so we went over for drinks and to meet some of our "neighbors". The people there were so friendly and the smells were so tempting-there is an open kitchen-that we stayed for dinner. It was perfectly prepared and served by an excellent server. We will be here for a few more days and will go back.

“disappointed”
Reviewed July 27, 2011

ordered Ceasar salad--almost no cheese or dressing
ordered Jager Schnitzel--Quantity OK--supposed to be mushroom gravy on Jager Schnitzel? It was dry.
Service very slow--waiter apologised but should have been better with a neighborhood standard

“BEST GERMAN FOOD IN TOWN & NICEST SERVICE IN PRETTY SETTING”
Reviewed September 22, 2010

Forget parking downtown or fighting the lines at chains. Head to Magnolia for one of the best kept secrets in Seattle--SZMANIA'S Restaurant. Menu is always changing seasonally and now there's an Oktoberfest German menu that's delicious and authentic. Prices are really reasonable; great happy hour from 5-7 with delicious "Lambroghini's", Cougar Gold Cheese dip, Sausage samplers, Haus German Platters and Ahi Tuni to die for.

“What a pleasure”
Reviewed June 25, 2009

Dining beside the fireplace when it's chilly out or sitting at the window watching people meandering in the sunshine, these canadians (Torontonians to be exact) have enjoyed delicious meals prepared with imagination and quaffed some good wines as well.
A chat with Ludger was a bonus. Cant' wait to get back.
