“Great Food Great Cause”

As my husband and I were leaving The Moore Hotel, the FareStart caught my attention. This place is awesome, FareStart is a facility that trains homeless adults in the food service industry. Corporations and volunteers (no tax dollars) help the staff run this operation, for more indepth info go to [-]

Turns out that the restaurant is open for lunch M-F. On Thursday nights they have a Guest Chef work with the students making a 3 course meal. We ate at the Thursday night Chef night and the meal was outstanding. This was a very classy dinner with linens, candlelight and even wine (for an extra charge). The dinner has a set price of about $19 per person, during lunch I was told it runs about $6-8.

This is an outstanding program, that serves really good tasting food, and at the same time is helping individuals to be self suporting.
