The hotel we stayed at recommended Cutters to us. They provided a shuttle there and back which if you're in Seattle for a visit is a great deal - after all, who wants to trudge up a hill after a good meal.
I'm not adventurous when it comes to seafood, but the server talked me into halibut cheeks (darn those cable cooking shows!). I must say, they were fantastic! Without a frame a reference for other fish cheeks, she made a good call. They reminded me of the fillet mignon of fish. Sides were good as well as the drinks.
In all honesty, don't order the crab/artichoke dip appetizer. Sadly, the onions and whatever binder they used completely overpowered any flavor of crab or any sight of artichokes. Glad I didn't finish it because that saved room for the entree.
Great place for a romantic dinner (though I hate dimly lit restaurants) so if you're looking to have a nice, unhurried dining experience - go to Cutters.
