“Not as great as I anticipated”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

I wanted to love this place. Everything I tried was only "ok" and I wished I had just booked Canlis again for the second night that we were in Seattle, instead! Staff was really friendly and took great care of our table. Just wished food was more exciting.

“great food, vibrant, noisy atmosphere”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

food cannot be beat, but the atmoshphere is very noisy . . . great place to meet a group of friends, but not so much for a romantic dinner for two

“Simply Superb”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

The food is impeccable - interesting combinations and flavors with fantastically fresh ingredients. The waitstaff was perfect on two out of three occasions. On my last visit the waiter seemed a bit harried but was still attentive and the manager promptly and graciously stepped in to fill the small gap. Perhaps the ambiance could be a more creative but is is pleasant. The music is muted - loud enough to enjoy but soft enough that it is not a challenge to conversation. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice place with menu featuring fresh ingredients and well prepared dishes. Nice after theater stop or pre theater dinner. Good service too.

“Downhill”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

This is their new location where they went from venerable to techno and it just doesn't FLY. Although the food presentation is attractive and tasty this eatery really lacks personality and atmosphere Perhaps a tourist seeking to rub shoulders with the Amazon crew might be enamored but most of us Seattleites have access to exceptional seafood coupled with great views and ambience elsewhere so why go here unless you work in the area?
