Every year instead of presents for the family my wife do a family dinner out somewhere for all of the adults. In the past we have always gone to 13 coins (not the airport location). This year 13 coins was closed for remodeling so I chose a new restaurant for the family. I of course came to tripadvisor to check the reviews and chose Restaurant Zoe. This was possibly the best evening out we have ever had together.

Lets start with Victor (who takes the reservations). We had a party of seven, which is difficult to get a good table for sometimes, but with Victors' able help we were given a great table. He was personable and great to talk to.

Ok parking. Parking was tough (as it always is in Seattle), and we ended up 2 blocks down from the restaurant and paid $11.

On to the restaurant itself. Restaurant is on the smaller side. I think personally that this is a good thing as it makes for better service usually. Good location on second & blanchard (across from recently closed crocodile cafe).

We were seated and ordered wine and appetizers. We had the pork loin, pear salad and the Spicy octopus (which you must try!!)
Service was prompt and we at times felt like we were the only people in the place.

After 45 min or so we ordered our main dishes. Food was a 15 (on a 1-10 scale). Portion size was perfect and we all ordered something different so we could each try a little of everything. Every dish we had was cooked to perfection. Nothing was too bland to spicy or to anything. Everything was perfect.

Their desert menu includes cheese and port wines along with a selection of brandy and their sweets were amazing. I highly recommend the brown butter cake. ( WOW).

Prices were $20-$35 a plate for main course. Our total bill for 7 was $429 with drinks and desert. About $62 a person.

All in all a great experience I recommend it to anyone.

We spent a few days in Seattle to celebrate the New Year. Had dinner at Zoe and consider the experience to be among the best restaurant meals I have had. From the appetizer (Pork Belly Confit) to the salads (citrus salad and pear salad) to the entrees (a pork dish and duck breast) through dessert (flourless chocolate cake) everything was perfect. The coffee was superb, even by Seattle standards. The service was flawless. Relatively expensive, for us - $175 for two including wine (before the tip) - but worth it.
