I am often in downtown Seattle for business and rarely cross the freeway. Tango is surprisingly close to the Convention Center and worth the walk. Everything we tried was very good which meant no room for dessert. It really is a place to go for sharing and lively conversation.

A friend had a birthday party recently where they served Tango's 'Diablo' for the cake. It was, quite literally, the best chocolate dessert I'd ever had. My partner and I went to Tango the next week to have some savory tapas and a full serving of 'El Diablo.' We were absolutely enchanted. We had some small blue cheese quiche bites, a queso fundito with chorizo and the carnitas del puerco. All were simply delicious. The dessert was even better than it had been at the party. Think of the richest, densest, smoothest chocolate mousse you've ever had. Now think of dusting that with cocoa powder and warm spices. Now imagine it nestled on a bed of toasted meringue and spicy marcona almonds. That is El Diablo. It is worth its weight in gold.

Tango is one block from my home and always offers an excellent choice of food, wine and desserts. The food is perfectly prepared and served by a friendly and efficient staff. Try El Diablo for dessert if you are a chocolate lover. It will not disappoint.

Walk up the hill to Tango--it's worth it. The service, the food, the drinks are all exceptional...and the location into the Capitol Hill District is sublime. Get ready to stay up late.

Our work group all went to Tango one Thursday evening. 13 of us, so lots to see--one "tapas" or little appetizer--"Cheap Date". A date wrapped in bacon with a mini salad for $2.50. I had "Spanish Breakfast" or a fritata. Others had prawns or exotic mushrooms. My favorite though, was the shredded pork with cinnamon and about 6 small tortillas--hmmm. A great happy hour. We had a marvelous time.
