The Georgian Room in the Fairmont Olympic Hotel is an elegant dining room with excellent service and sophisticated food together with an extensive but costly wine list. Everything from the table cloths to the cutlery and the breads are of old fashioned quality and elegance...a very refreshing change from the usual offerings.
The staff were friendly without offering to share their name or life story. This was a substantial relief. The maitre d' took the trouble to ask whether or not we were going on the the theatre afterwards to ensure that the pace of the meal was appropriate for our plans.

The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and served in the correct manner. It was a relief to eat a meal where everything was to our complete satisfaction. This of comes at a cost...this restaurant is expensive but is sufficiently better to warrant the expense.

We dined at The Georgian for breakfast every morning during our one week stay over Christmas at the Olympic Hotel in Seattle. Our package included breakfast which is why we made it our daily choice. The best part of all the dining experiences was the food, it was delicious. I do also like the decor which is very elegant, with the tables positioned thoughtfully allowing for an intimate dining experience. It is also nice to just roll out of your room and downstairs for a good meal. Having said that, unfortunately, this week the service was lacking a bit. We had several mishaps and inconveniences that brought the overall impression down especially considering this is a AAA 4 diamond restaurant in a 5 diamond hotel. Management did make it up to us but that shouldn't need to occur at this level. We have eaten dinner here on other occasions and again the food was wonderful, however keep in mind the atmosphere is very formal, the service can be a bit stuffy, and the prices are high. If it is convenient to eat here, you have a package, or a special occasion, great go for it! Otherwise, there are so many other phenomenal places to choose from within walking distance of the hotel, be sure to them out too.

A spectacular old world dining room with impeccable service. Especially fun to take children at Christmas time for Christmas tea.

Food very mediocre, prices sky high. Much of the staff did not seem to speak English. Still a beautiful room and nice atmosphere.

During the holidays, the lobby of the Olympic Hotel, now the Fairmont, has always been a venue to experience as the Christmas tree is one of the largest in the city. The Georgian Room isn't quite as ostentatious as it used to be ( and I miss that as everything in Seattle is all so casual these days) but it is still quite formal and very pretty. Tea was an annual tradition for many years with my girlfriends and their daughters. Today we were without the young ones and had lunch instead. It was delicious. Service was, as always, impeccable. Even when full to capacity, there is no noise so one can converse easily. It is a special treat. Highly recommend tea with the girls!
