Description: Chutneys is located in the Queen Anne area of Seattle, just minutes away from Seattle Center,The Opera House, and Key Arena, in the heart of downtown Seattle. It serves you with North Indian Cuisine in all of its flavorful variety. It was opened in May of 1995. Since its opening,it has been serving wonderful food with ever-changing taste.Currently the restaurant is taken over by new management and the new owner is truely passionate about serving authentic indian food. Visit the place ot experience it.do try their signature dish which is Rack of Lamb. The restaurant now also serves VEGAN menu.

“My favorite Indian restaurant. Ever.”
Reviewed January 24, 2012

As an Indian guy who gets some awesome Indian food at my parents' house, it's hard to justify going out for Indian food as it will rarely satisfy in comparison. Chutney's (Wallingford) is the place that exceeds that standard. Love the menu, the quality, and the owner is a nice guy too.

“Salty, terrible food.”
Reviewed January 3, 2012

I have tried this place several times over the years, hoping that the bad experiences I've had here were just a fluke, but I am disappointed every time. While the location is great and the service people are nice and friendly, the food is terrible. I've tried the lunch buffet several times and the dinner service too. Every dish, no matter what it is, is overly salty and unappetizing.

“Unfamiliar Food in a Pleasant Atmosphere”
Reviewed November 22, 2011

Our waitress was attentive, the decor is what I would call elegant; but we don't know enough about Indian cuisine to make good choices. Our food was vegetarian and therefore more expensive than what we would expect to pay for a meal without fish or meat. We would have been better off at an Indian buffet where we could have taken a small sample of various offerings and then take a regular serving of those items we prefer, even though we would not later remember what they were called. I have done that a couple of times before elsewhere. People obviously familiar with Indian food were eating at Chutney's Queen Anne. Sadly for us, the only thing memorable about this dining experience was the large Indian bread, the lovely surroundings, a nice waitress and the too high price.

The naan stuffed with cheese was excellent. The vindaloo was also great. Enjoyed food so much that I went back next night for take out.
