“Exactly the foods that I crave constantly”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013 via mobile

I love cured foods- meats, olives, smoked cheeses, extra aged cheeses.

This place was like heaven when we stopped in here after exploring the neighborhood (a friend we were staying with was at work for the day). We came across Salumi, checked the reviews online on our phones and were convinced to head straight in.

The sandwiches are so flavorful and perfect. The cheese and various cured meats platter was big and excruciatingly delicious (though slightly pricey, but most of it is made in-house, so definitely worth it).

I love Seattle for it's many amazing and highly varied restaurants, and Salumi near the top of my list.

“Hidden gem that's not so hidden”

Go to Salumi. That's really all you need to know! Amazing house cured meats. Such an old school, homemade and original feeling to Salumi and I love it. You feel as if you have your very own Italian grandmother for the afternoon. Lunch time is busy so plan ahead!

“Don't Miss These Brilliant Sandwiches”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

There's a reason there's a line out the door every day at lunchtime of this out-of-the-way small sandwich & cured meats shop. It's one of Seattle's treasures, the sandwiches are amazing.

On a cold blustery seattle day, nothing hits the spot like a Hot Sopressata. Or for that matter actually, any day of the year. The artisan cured meats here are incomparable, so take some home with you after your lunch.

They don't have much seating (you might make a plan to do take-away), but the small communal table is sweet.

Tips: Check the hours before you go, they are only open for lunches and on workdays. Go early, to avoid the line.

This place is the best, enjoy!

“Amazing”

The line takes the edge off of fantastic, the sandwich is pure heaven. Get the special, get some sliced to go, get a few for your friends. Go early or late, you'll still wait.

“real deal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

If you are in the mood for mega meat and tons of flavor get down to this place. It's small and all the sandwiches, etc are made while you watch as they heap mounds of succulent fillings onto fresh baguettes lathered with garlic. Amazing. Take it to go or cram into the back to sit with the friendly crowd.
