After enjoying the many cool shops and galleries in Wallingford Center, check out the Indian restaurant downstairs. Decent service and great food. A full Indian menu with lots of chicken, lamb, and vegetarian dishes. Look to the back of the menu for a full organic menu as well. Plenty of gluten-free options. Don't miss the Thali platters that provide a sampling of options.

Unlike many Indian restaurants in North America these days, Chutney's is NOT just a buffet, and dishes there include sides of vegetables and rice with every dish. The veggies are actually a cool and exotic feature here. All dishes strike me as authentic (I'm no expert) but with spice levels toned down to the North American palette. Their 4 or 5 level spicing may be what others would call "normal." We were particularly happy with the mango chicken (order it spicy!) and lamb biryani.

A very pleasant environment with the exception of 2 non-stop TV screens hanging over the bar. If you find this distracting, just ask for one of the tables out of view of the screens. Chutneys stays open after the rest of Wallingford Center closes.

Dinner was very good with great mango margarita. Very Good service. What really made me happy though was the fact that they my take home food containers were biodgradable...even the plastic bag. If everyone used biodegradeable plastic what a cleaner world we would live in!
Thank you so much Chutney's for leading the pack on this!

The buffet at lunch time is wonderful, probably the best bargain to be found in Seattle for good Indian food. The full menu is quite varied and uniformly good; with special praise for the Chicken Tikka Masala as well the many great vegitarian dishes. Inside is a full bar next to an intimate dining area with candlelit booths and tables that are just right for couples and groups of friends sharing a good conversation. And, when the weather cooperates, outside is a great patio for dining amid the sounds of a splasing fountain. Lots of easy free, parking too at Wallingford Center.

This restaurant states on its signs that it serves organic food but that is not the case. They have a separate menu for organic food and you have to ask for that menu------but no one knows when they walk in that they have to ask for the separate menu for the organic entrees. People come to the restaurant thinking that they will eat organic items because that is what the signs state------ but that is not the case!

The Better Business Bureau should be holding these people accountable for false advertising.

We will not return to this restaurant.
