“Always wonderful”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Haven't been to Brad's in awhile - mostly because we cook more at home. But we went last night and it was wonderful as usual. I've been coming here for many many years (over 20) and have never had a bad meal. Last night we split one of their Carlton Salads (huge, tons of fresh veggies, fruits, cheese, olives, peppers) with grilled prawns, plus had Sardian Lamb and Venison Ragout over farfalle - both devine. Too much food for two people

“Great Sicilian in a comfy neighborhood setting”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

High points were the boulliabaisse (thick and delicious, though unlike any familiar one); nicely done goat cheese ravioli; rabbit this and boar that: seems no being is safe in this kitchen. Good salad, antipasto (though not generous). We had a special evening in a worthy setting, in memory of a friend.

“Fantastic pasta!”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

My husband had tried the Swingside many years before on a visit to Seattle and wanted us to try it on a visit we made to the city just after Christmas. I was very glad we did- creative Sicilian pasta dishes in the coziest possible setting. Everything we ordered - from the salad to the cassata for dessert was excellent- my only regret was that we could not try more of the Swingside's dishes. We will definitely come back whenever we are in Seattle.

“Found by accident, glad we did!”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Was in the Fremont area looking for a restaurant and came across the Swingside by accident. On a whim we decided to give it a try and were very pleased. It was a little early (5:30pm) when we stopped in and we were their first guests. That made us a little worried but the place quickly filled up as the evening worn on. Terrific pasta dishes. The dinner salad was just the right size and had a yummy light dressing that didn't fill us up prior to the main course. I was amazed at the variety of entre options from a fairly small kitchen. We had lots of choices and all were good. Will repeat the next time we are in that area.

“The best hidden gem in the city!”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

This quickly became our favorite restaurant in Seattle after we moved here. Even after we moved north, we still make the 45 minute drive to eat here about 4 times a year. Every friend or relative who visits gets to make a trip to Brad's and sample Mr. Inserra's cooking. The place is labeled as Italian and the cuisine is Italian-ish with a lot of Mediterranean wide influences thrown in. They have an astounding wine list (both size and value) for the size and type of restaurant. Most importantly, we have fun every time we go. You usually end of chatting with the people at the table next to you since its such a small and cozy environment, watching the flames shoot up from Brad's tiny kitchen (he works his magic on only 4 burners). Next time you're in the Fremont area, make it a must stop. Notably great dishes include the Sardinian Lamb and Venison Fricasee, Aglio Oglio with Crab, Pasta Bolognese, and the Seafood Farfalle. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu though. Enjoy!
