I booked a reservation at Stay Alfred 1st ave apartments on booking.com in July for Nov 18-21 with a group of couples (2 separate rooms). It was non-refundable. 4 days before, I get the first confirmation listing a different address. When I call to ask, they say it's a mixup and booking has the wrong address, when I ask why would i book it then, they tell me that it was overbooked. When I see that there is another 2 bedroom apartment available, after much arguing, and making booking.com call them, they switch me to it. Problem solved right? WRONG
2 days before I get another email saying one again they've switched me back, and that they were informed that the other apartment isn't actually available any more just that day. WHY would they advertise an apartment if they don't actually have it. Their only consolation was moving us to a place 1 mile away (not in the same building) which was "equivalent." it's way less amenities and on the other side of the highway - not at all downtown, or a refund - which 48 hours before a weekend in seattle doesn't exactly let you find an equivalent 2 bd 2 br place..
BEWARE these guys will change your reservation to any of their properties at any time and somehow they consider that acceptable! I've never heard of any hotel overbooking non-cancellable confirmed reservations!
We stayed in the city with another couple. This location was in the middle of everything we wanted to do: Seattle Art Museum, Fantastic Restaurants, shopping and a Seahawks game. Super convenient, spacious accommodations and the best view ever. We will be coming back for sure!
Very conveniently located on 1st Ave. across the street from the Art Museum, on the Harbour steps and about a block from Pike St. Market. The apartment was clean and simply furnished. Large bathrooms and washer and dryer.
The building has a beautiful pool and a concierge who is very helpful.
It is notable. Close to all the famous tourist attractions, the traffic is also very convenient. The only regret is the noise, because the hotel is in Seattle downtown.
I loved the apartment's view of Puget Sound. The location was awesome. It was just a couple blocks from the University Street Link light rail station, so it was easy to get to and from the airport and to and from the Amtrak station. Also, just a short walk from the ferries to Bremerton and Bainbridge Island. Pike Place Market was also just two blocks away. The apartment was clean and comfortable.
Super location! Nearby to Public Market, many restaurants and fun shopping. Convenience store nearby for milk, bread, etc and easy to make breakfast in well equipped kitchen. Loved having a washer and dryer! Walk to Public Market, Pioneer Square and the wharves.
Wonderful stay! Everything was perfect. A little daunting finding the keys bit otherwise, quite nice.
