“Middle eastern cuisine with great ambience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

The restaurant is located in Capitol Hill and was packed. It just opened 10 weeks back and was really doing well. The cuisine is a fusion between Lebanese and Persian. The ambience was truly amazing.

We had the humhara which was a great appetizer but slightly oily. The same was true for Bamiya(okra) another appetizer.

The tadik and lamb shank was amazing. Grease could be slightly less but all in all a great experience. They add new dishes every month- cool concept

“Intriguing food, great atmosphere ...horrible maddening service!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

The terrible service overpowers what is otherwise a hip Lebanese taste treat.

Thoughtful preparations, cooked well, and nicely presented. Just make a meal from the extensive appetizers, dive into a main course and share family style, or mix it up.

Great atmosphere in a nicely designed, modern renovation of a capital hill old brick industrial building. Within an uphill walking distance of the convention center. Across the street from the Melrose Market with Sitka and Spruce, and Taylor Shellfish, both better choices for dinner if you expect not to leave angry about your experience at a restaurant.

Second bottle of wine forgotten by the waiter, then a second request, empty glasses twenty minutes later. The wine showed up when the main course was essentially finished. Several dirty plates stayed through desert. Desert arrived but no plates, no forks. After a request to the bartender forks arrived (not enough) but no plates. Second request and fifteen minutes later we get plates. Maybe they had to wash some?

The service leaves a bad taste in your mouth to what otherwise would be a great restaurant.
